Greetings.

As wonderful as the BGG Wargame Chain of Generosity & Wargamers Paying It Forward threads are, transatlantic shipping can be prohibitive for many. The purpose of this thread is to give those living in Europe a slightly easier way to get involved in the generosity. Please continue to participate in the other threads, they are brilliant, lets make this one brilliant too.

Here's how the chain works:

Step 1: The chain is seeded with a game (or games). Entrants declare themselves 'in' on the comments. After a specified time (a week is good), a winner is rendomly drawn from those who declared themselves in.

Step 2: The winner will add a game or games to the list as the next item, preferably within 48 hours of being decalred the winner of the previous item. Once again entrants declare themselves 'in' and after a specified period a winner is drawn randomly.

Step 3: The new winner repeats step 2.

Thing to remember:

heart Declare in the comments of the item you want to win that you are 'in'!

heart If you win an item, you must post a game of your own to give away in the same fashion. If you are not willing to do so, please don't play!

heart Although you are not required to offer more than one game or a choice of games, if your listnig is not gaining much interest you may want to add further items to keep the chain going.

heart This is an international list. Please clearly state your shipping conditions in the listing, otherwise you agree to post internationally and cover the cost.

heart Europe means the continent, not just the EU. Keep this in mind when thinking about postage costs.

heart This is a wargame list so make sure you can offer an item that is a wargame, or of wargamer-interest.

heart The main thing is to be generous and enjoy giving away good games to good homes.
So with that in mind, lets get going...

You can choose one of the following, all the games in good condition.

For the People

The Spanish edition is just about to be released, So I can put this for trade. Its the 2006, played many times but in good condition, no mounted map but I think that the game is the same as the last edition.

Grand Illusion: Mirage of Glory, 1914

A good WW1 game if you can dig the rules. Punched and clipped

Victory in the West: Plan Yellow, The French Campaign 1940

Punched and cliped

Air Bridge to Victory

A Hidden gem from GMT early days

Also if the winner interested I can gift in addition a copy of MacArthur's Return: Leyte 1944

Starting a new chain here, three games in total!

The name is...

*Drum Roll*

Keep Generosity Great (Again)!

All these games have been gifted to me by a fellow geek, but I will not be able to play them again in any near future, so I want to give them on and keep the spirit behind the games alive.

You may enter your name for all three games, but please mark them with numbers corellating to how badly you want them. (1. For top priority, and so on) I will only draw a winner once, so if you are drawn for multiple games, I will award you the game that is higher on your list, and give the other game to another geek. (Unless there is nobody else who wants the game, then you are a lucky geek! )

For the People

GMT 2000 Edition, no mounted map. Played, but is in very good condition, the box has some wear, but the components are still like new. Half of the control markers have been rounded with the Oregon 2mm Cutter.

Eagles of the Empire: Eylau

Played. Again some wear on the box, but the components are in good condition. All counters have been rounded with the Oregon 2mm cutter.

Eagles of the Empire: Napoleon in the Desert

Played, all components in good shape. Ugliest maps out there I guess, but hey, the system is solid!

Unfortunately I cannot, currently, provide shipping. If you can wait for your game, I will be able to do so beginning next month. (when my studentship starts...) If you can't wait for it, you will have to provide shipping costs!

I will draw the winners on next friday evening 6 p.m. CET!

Good luck to all participants!

Here you have my new offer, I hope some game suits your tastes. Please pick one of the following:

Carthage: The First Punic War

Unpunched and in good shape

Glory: The Battles of First & Second Manassas and Chickamauga, 1861-63

Punched & clipped. It includes also all the additional counters from Glory II and Glory III

In this game some of the original counters have some stains, like if the original owner tried to varnish the counters to protect them. If anyone its interested in the game I can send some photos. Its nothing really serious otherwise I would not be offering it.

Napoleon's Last Battles

Decision Games second edition, punched & clipped

And finally

Polis: Fight for the Hegemony

Spanish /english first edition, it includes the bonus event cards

Not exactly a Wargame but a game about a war that many wargamers would enjoy.

I will be travelling next weekend so I will pick a winner when I arrive on Sunday 20.

Sorry for the delay folks, waiting on the European Math Trade to finalise.

Main Chain

Choose one of the following before Sunday 4 December.

The Arab-Israeli Wars

The original Avalon Hill classic.
Contents in very good condition - partly unpunched.
Box has 2 split corners and is slightly scuffed.

Kingmaker

TM Games version as pictured.
In good condition.
Box a little compressed (poor quality box in this version).

Great War at Sea: 1904-1905, The Russo-Japanese War

Very good condition.
Some counters still unpunched.
Includes additional photocopied player aids, log sheets etc.

Lawrence of Arabia

As new, all unpunched.
BUT - box is noticeably compressed on front (heavy weight on top). Still solid and complete however.

World of Tanks: Rush

Brand new in shrink.

All games are in English and from a smoke free home.

SUB CHAINAnother spawning of the chain.

EDIT : I just wanted to re-draw your attention to this diversification from the main chain.

I am offering Alexander the Great

Great condition for its age, two small pieces replaced by blank spares from the game. But if you are using this particular link in the chain (more of a flail now) to collect or hoard or trade for anything but interest or love you don't belong here, so there! A piece of ancient wargame history ("An outstanding classic" - review on this site) by Gary Gygax. I tried it but found the ingenious point scoring mechanism too fiddly for my solitaire plays.

Patrol!

Again, wargame history. In ziplock. I tried it but didnt like it as much as the magazine game with single man counters in WWII whose name I have forgotten at the moment. You can see my video on Patrol! herehttps://www.boardgamegeek.com/video/85720/patrol/patrol-look....

And Firefight

A simple classic but it just didn't do it for me. Cityfight was planned to be compatible with this game, a town on the map is the one represented in Cityfight.

And Last Frontier. The Vesuvius Incident

The older edition as pictured. This is unpunched and in excellent shape. Once upon a time I made it a mission to try and collect every single solitaire war(ish) game out there. That was when there were about 30 or so of them! Then the hobby entered its renassaince, and the task became pointless since I was buying to play and would never be able to. I became spoilt for choice and sf-fantasy lost any advantage their residual (from my youth) attraction to me had against other games. So this one is up for grabs.

Now it's my turn to offer you something - and I hope that you will like it

I am offering you the Third Edition of Bobby Lee - played only once.
As a little sweetener, this is also the Kickstarter edition of 3rd edition, there should be two instructions, so you don't even have to share! And possibly a few other gadgets not in the retail 3rd Edition, but I actually don't know the difference to be honest.

Pretty good game, but too heavy for me. And also a physically heavy(ish) game.

So... there is just one problem: I am leaving the country soon for until after Christmas. I can find a winner on December 18th? But first send after Christmas - or maybe early next year, depending on the work load after Christmas.

I have this nice Avalon classic - and even though I like it, it is one of the few games I've played that I still have, so it's one of the few I know if I want to keep.... and it is, but I have to offer you something
It is old, and not pristine condition. It is the Second edition.
As a little bonus; a previous owner have added a lot of prints with a list of years and happenings in the American hisory - all the way from colonization - as well as something possibly pretty damn useless for you: A hand written rule summary - in Danish; but wait here is the awesome part: He also drew some of the British regiment flags with descripton. They are nicely drawn, but text in Danish.
Rules are in English of cause

And because you deviators like to play with Polynesia I will also give you an option to choose Conquest of Paradise in stead.
I like this game - and I know you do too!
This is first edition as pictured

Take your pick...
I will be finding a winner on the first Sunday of February - the 5th for those who like numbers

In case of doubt this is for the

A short disclaimer. Through some (happy) coincidence, I have won in both the European and the International list at pretty much the same time. This is the same offer as on the other list, but since the latter is first come first serve, one of those games might leave. I will draw a winner sometime on next friday, to give it some leeway (I might add something else if one of the games leaves).

Shipping within the EU covered! We will work something out for non-EU shipping (DHL normally doesn't make a difference).

Pick one of the following:

Played a couple of times, but in very good condition (yeah, yeah, probably not a wargame...)!

OR

In fantastic condition, only played once. Minor shelfware on the box, due to its age.

OR

Also contains a few countersheets from the Days of Apocalypse Pacific module. Unpunched and unplayed (Quite a few counters have fallen off the sheets though).

OR

German edition. Counters are punched and carefully clipped with an Oregon Laminator 2mm Corner Rounder. Otherwise in perfect condition.

UPDATE

OR

Punched but never played, in perfect condition. Ziplock edition!
Does not come with the v3.0 rulebook, but then again, you'd have to print out the newest iteration anyway!

OR

Obviously an old copy, but in very good shape!

Another update

OR

Punched, clipped, unplayed. Boxed version from 1994. There is a dent on the back on the box. Otherwise in perfect condition.

OR

c3i edition. Punched, unclipped, unplayed. Does not include the magazine. In perfect condition.

OR

Starter Kit, played, but in very good condition.

And combine it with any two of the following:

Marschall Vorwärts!

Morgan's A'Comin!

Showtime Hanoi

The Bagged Peiper

In case you are capable of speaking French, I can also add a random Vae Victis magazine without game to this (or as an ersatz for the postcard games).

Well I must apologize at first for the delay, but I have been extremely busy for the last few months actually. So let's continue this chain!

I will put a few games on the list for now and add more later on.

1) C.S.A. America's Civil War 1861-1865

Still in shrink.

2) Barnard's Star: The First Interstellar War

Still in shrink.

These 2 are small box games.

3)Test of Fire: Bull Run 1861

In very good condition.

4)The Last Blitzkrieg

In very good condition too.

I will wait until Easter and see how it goes...

Hopefully I will have some more free time during the holidays and add more games too...

Edit 17/4: Happy Easter to all! Since there was no interest in the games offered yet, I am adding a few more and see how it goes.

5)History of the Roman Empire

In very good condition (cards still in shrink).

6)Borodino '41

In very good condition, considering it's age (unpunched counters).

7)Aachen: First to Fall

In very good condition too.

A few different offerings here. Choose any 1 of:

7 Days of Westerplatte

Played once only. I enjoyed it, but group not over-keen.
Very good condition.
English language only.

Up Front

Yes, the original Avalon Hill classic.
This is very much a player's copy. It has been played A LOT. The counters and character cards are still in fine condition. However the deck of cards are beginning to warp and the rules have some minor coffee stains on them (plus my name). The cards have never been sleeved, but may benefit even if done at this late date.
Box is scruffy with one split corner and has charts stuck inside the lid to assist play, but okay otherwise.
And even more good news - the box also contains everything from the Banzai and Desert War expansions.
I love this game and will be sad to see it go, but I haven't played it for years and my group are not wargamers in any shape or form.
Worth a lot on BGG, but happy to offer it up.

Berserk: War of the Realms

A lighter alternative. Just about qualifies as a wargame!
Brand new in shrink.
English at least.
The box says funded on Kickstarter, but no idea if it is an actual KS edition.

I'll cover all postage within Europe and will close on Sunday 6 August.

Closed. The dice have spoken and the winner is:
