The Jack Vasel Memorial Fund Auction - 2014 - CLOSED - TIME TO PAY AND SHIP!
-
If you would like a tax receipt, please GEEKMAIL JVMFAUCTION and include the following information: Your Real Name, your Address, Your email address. THANK YOU!The Auction has Ended! Thank you for participating!
What now??If you have won an item and have not yet paid, follow the instructions in the geeklist item you have won.
If you have paid, but a volunteer has not yet acknowledged receipt, please give it at least 24 hours before sending a geekmail to one of the auction admins (Anglotiger or Schwartzkopf) as everyone is quite busy behind the scenes! If you paid within the first 12 hours of the auction's close, please forward your paypal receipt to jackvaselauction2014@gmail.com if we have not already confirmed your payment. There was a small snafu in our paypal settings that prevented us from receiving some emails.
By this point if you won an item and have not yet heard from the donor, send a friendly geekmail letting them know you have paid and perhaps give them your address. Be nice about it though, it really hasn't been all that long yet!
Likewise, if you are a donor and you have not yet heard from the winner of your item, or have not already contacted them, it would help to send them a friendly geekmail as well. Sometimes people miss that they've won an item or it gets lost in the hugeness of the geeklist!
Remember - the fund does not coordinate shipping, and everything form this point on is between the donor and the bidder.
Should any conflicts arise, or something does not work out to the satisfaction of all parties involved, please contact one of the auction admins (Anglotiger or Schwartzkopf). We're here to help you work through any problems and hopefulyl reach an amicable solution for everyone involved.
After what we feel is a generous amount of time, we will begin sending out gentle emails to users who have not yet paid.

What is the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund?
One tragic event and two acts of generosity brought the BGG community together: the result was the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund. In January 2011, Cate Pfeifer (Cate108) posted an auction for Tom Vasel and his family to help with the financial hardship related to the unfortunate loss of his son, Jack. The generosity of the BGG community was amazing. Tom was touched and wanted to pay the kindness forward so he created the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund. He used some of the money that BGGers donated and spent to build this fund. The fund is a not-for-profit with a simple goal: raising and distributing funds to help gamers in their hour of need.
Are you (or is someone you know) a member of the public that is part of the gaming community who has suffered a personal hardship? The gaming community's generosity up to this point has been amazing, and we anticipate you will continue to amaze us. However, we are not just here to raise money, but also to do good.
Please contact the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund if you believe you are a member of the gaming community and have suffered personal hardship. Tom and the rest of our Board of Directors are happy to work with you to explain our eligibility criteria, confirm your situation is within our mission statement, and then provide assistance. You can fill out an application for help online here.

I know the size of this geeklist can become unwieldy. We've created a Google Doc with summaries of each item for you to browse with links to each item. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE ITEM GUIDE!
