Welcome to another BorderCon centered Math Trade!!!

Okay. Things coming together a little late on this, but thanks to all the folks who participated in the discussion thread. The key philosophy of this maths trade is that in order to defeat the rapacious swine in Australia Post (who have taken away most flat rate postage) we are going to try something new, centering trades around BorderCon as an exchange point to cut out postage where possible.

For those unfamiliar, BorderCon is a social gaming convention held in Albury-Wodonga on the Queen's Birthday long weekend each year (this year June 5th-8th).

See details & Get Tickets: BorderCon - Celebrating 10 Years

There is a major change in the format this year and that is that the onus is on getting your games to and from BorderCon if at all possible. But we still wanted to allow the trade to be open to the whole country for those that are prepared to cop some postage.

Anyhoo all the rules are below. Enjoy and get your gear up. Hope you manage to snag an enjoyable trade or two.

What this means is that you need to start thinking about how you're going to get your games to or from BorderCon right now. If you can't do either, you're going to be up for two directions of postage.

This is working in the same way that it did for CanCon earlier this year.

Rules

If you are sending a game you must do one of:

1.
Take it to BorderCon yourself.

2. Arranging in advance for someone to take it to BorderCon
(When we say to BorderCon, we mean 'to the Math Trade table in the main function room by 2pm on the Saturday')

3. Pay postage to the recipient yourself via whatever co-shipping arrangement you can.

4. Negotiate directly with the recipient in advance that something I haven't thought of takes place to your mutual benefit.

If you are receiving a game you must do one of:

1. Collect it from BorderCon yourself

2. Arranging in advance for a mule collect it from BorderCon
(When we say collect from BorderCon, we mean 'from the table in the main gaming room by 4pm on the Saturday')

3. Arranging in advance for some exceedingly nice 'Borderian' to collect them for you and send them to you at your cost.

4.
Negotiate directly with the sender in advance that something I haven't thought of takes place to your mutual benefit.

Let's all try to be sensible!

All the usual AU maths trade rules apply (wiki links to follow).
0. Everyone should work together to make this no-ship trade work out for everyone getting their games in good order. Be up front about delays.

Overcommunicate. Try to help other folks out. Seek help if you hit trouble.

1. Board games, card games, RPG games and Video Games only (plus hobby based accessories) are all good.
2. Combined items are fine
3. List condition in detail, note edition and try to make the picture match.
4. Cash items are fine, list a guide price. Anyone receiving cash is required to donate 3% to BGG.
5. Pre-trade buying is fine. Delete or otherwise clearly mark no longer available items before the deadline, submit an empty want-list after it.
6. Comments are great. Feel free. There's also a discussion thread.
7+8 there are no 7 or 8. Yet.
9. All want-list submissions should have gone through my want list verifier to ensure they are not malformed. I'm going to do it anyway, and the want list verifier will be less snarky about it.

Recommendations for Communication and Labelling of Games for the BorderCon Trade Table.

Once trades are finalised, contact each person via Geekmail. It does not matter whether you are sending or receiving: contact everyone.

Even if you are meeting face-to-face, exchange phone numbers as a backup.

If there are people transporting games for you ("mules"), exchange their names and phone numbers also.

Label the game clearly and securely. We recommend a big sheet of paper with details in Texta. You can attach this to a game box with no harm to anything by wrapping the whole thing in a couple of layers of cling-film. This also stops the box opening.

The label should include:
The sender's name (the one you use in real life) and your BGG username. A way to contact you (mobile # is best) in case the recipient doesn't arrive at the convention.
Similar details for your courier/mule, if any.
The recipient's name, BGG username, and their phone number as well.

If you don't put all these details on the game, and attach them securely, then there won't be much sympathy if things go wrong. Follow this process to make the trade exchange much simpler, less stressful and quick.

AGRICOLAPOCALYPSE!!!

This is for tons (or, at least many kilos) of Agricola stuff!

The original game, in excellent condition. The original wooden pieces (cubes of wood) are not in the game, because everything has been replaced with animeeples, vegimeeples, farmer family meeples and the like!

I have the Lookout special pieces, the Mayfair special pieces, the MeepleSource special pieces and a few more. Basically, if I saw it available, I bought it! These special pieces are brilliantly stored and organised in a multi-compartment plastic box for easy carrying and access during the game.

I have the Z Deck.
I have the X Deck.
I have the 2011 World Championship Decks.
I have the O-umlaut Deck (still in shrink).
I have cards L00 through L08 of the L-Deck (some with multiple copies).
I have a second copy of the Z Deck (still in shrink).
I have the Agricola Euchre Deck.

I have the Through The Seasons postcard.

I have the new Player Boards (Mars, Desert, Snow, etc.).

Trade or $150!

OK, this is kind of strange one, in that this copy is partially played...

My group played six games with this copy before entropy set in and we never seemed able to get back to it. Consequently, the board is partially marked- and stickered-up from the modifications we made as the results of our games. (My favourite perversity: One of the options when you win a game is to name one of the originally unnamed continents. When I got the opportunity to do that, I named the southeast continent - where Australia is on the normal Risk board - "North America"!)

We've opened 3 of the 4 envelopes and 1 of the 2 sealed tray compartments, and modified the game accordingly.

One of the ways for other people to play this set would be to have a selection process before each play where each of the personalities of the world is selected by the players. That is, someone would choose to get all the on-board/historical bonuses of "Kevin", for instance.
OR
You could just assume that you're coming to this world after the previous series of tribes fought and changed it and eventually killed themselves, and then you take up the new changes.

Anyway, as this is certainly a (partially) used copy, I'll be looking to get less for it...

Trade or sale ($25).
