I find that I enjoy games with cards that can be used for multiple purposes (as money, for an ability, as a resource, as health, etc). I like the "agony of choice" when I have to decide how to use a great card. I am not talking about games like Port Royal where I have no choice in how the card is used. I am strictly speaking about having cards either in your hand or tableau and trying to determine the best way to maximize their usefulness.

Please list a game and explain how the cards can be used in multiple ways.

Spell Cards can be used to:
1. Move to the specific location that matches the card
2. Move to any location (but it costs two matching spell cards)
3. Cast the spell and use its effect
4. Ready another spell from a specific location by discarding spell cards you find at that location
5. Ready another spell from any location by simply having that spell card already readied on your player board.

The primary mechanic of the game my friend and I designed is multi-use cards. Cards can be workers you place to take actions, an available action space, one-time use actions, or "money" you spend to play cards. Once a card is played in one way, it usually is set in that mode, so there's a lot of choices.
