Swiss Math Trade - August 2015
- Ruben CabezonSwitzerland
Welcome to the third Swiss Math Trade!Recommend
All the rules posted here are nothing more than a copy/paste from the excellent rules of Dimitris (Base the Bass) and his EU Math Trade. So if you are a usual participant on that MT, this one is very similar but with the focus on Switzerland. People from outside Switzerland are also welcome to participate, but be aware of shipping costs.
Ok. Let's do this!

Adding items to the geeklist:
For each item you must list the level of language dependence, the edition/language, the condition of the game and your shipping terms. Please ensure that your shipping terms are very clear and unambiguous (which means don't use the term "mirror shipping"- write out in full exactly what you mean). It is your responsibility to ensure that the games you are offering are complete unless you have stated otherwise in your entry. Games should be sufficiently well packaged to arrive in the condition in which they are sent.
I encourage everyone to offer free shipping within Switzerland wherever possible, although I fully understand that personal circumstances vary and some really heavy games mean that this is not always possible. You are responsible for shipping your games in a timely manner. Traders from outside Switzerland must be prepared to pay the full cost of shipping games to them, unless an individual entry has other conditions.
CUSTOMS: People shipping from outside of Switzerland be aware that the Swiss customs will charge around 20 CHF to the receiver of the game if the stated value of the package is around 40€ or bigger (the limit is higher, aprox. 85 €, if declared as a gift). Please, do not overvalue the game when shipping it! It is very unpleasant to receive the game along with an invoice that makes the trade worthless.
If any of your items involve money changing hands (usually to cover shipping costs) YOU MUST STATE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COVERING THE TRANSACTION COSTS.
If you change your mind about the game you are trading you can submit a blank want list for it or remove it for the geeklist. This does not affect the way OLWLG manages the trade at all. It might be a problem, though, for those participants who populate their wantlists using the item number and do not look at the description of the game. So, forget the item numbers, and check the actual game description when adding items to the wantlist.
To insert sweeteners in the appropriate manner, go to Insert Geek Link - Board Game - (type the title and press go). Do NOT include links to other game's BGG page in your entry unless you are actually including them as a sweetener. Again, if you include a link to a game in your description you will be required to ship that game.
To insert money offers it must be added as Outside the Scope of BGG (Game ID: 23953) and include +altname+ xxx -altname- (without spaces) in the description, where xxx specifies the amount, the currency and the method of payment. Examples:
+altname+ €50 Paypal -altname-
+altname+ 90 CHF via Paypal or bank transfer -altname-
Money and geekgold arbitrage is strictly prohibited: please do not try to trade your CHF20 for someone else's CHF30.
Also, please avoid offering an exact subset of the item you are asking: please do not try to trade your agricola for agricola + sweetener. This last rule has nothing to do with the values of the items - you may trade a low value for a high value item, as long as it is not an exact subset of the pack you are getting.
If such a "trade" shows up in the trade loops, it will be effectively disregarded and the user responsible will receive a warning.
Submitting wants lists
Want lists MUST be submitted via the On-line Want List Generator (OLWLG), which you can find here: http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/
If you haven't already done so, register your BGG ID on the Online Want List Generator by clicking on the link above. Enter your BGG username and you will then be sent a Geekmail with a direct link to a personalised version of OLWLG.
For any item that you wish to add to any of your want lists click on the "Add" button. A pop-up appears with all the games you are offering, simply tick the entries you would trade for that item.
Please remember that when you add an item to a Want List you are agreeing that you are prepared to accept a trade for that item. You may be just as likely to receive the items on your Want Lists that you 'least' want as those you 'most' want so do not add an item if receiving it may leave you disappointed! Submitting a Want List is your agreement to trade for any item on that list.
When you have gone through the list click on the link at the very bottom "edit your wants" which will take you to a summary where you can make changes and rank items in order of preference (remember to save any changes).
Please remember to hit the 'submit' button after you have finished creating your want lists. IF YOUR LIST HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED YOU WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION GEEKMAIL.
When the want list submission period has closed I will draw down the combined want lists and publish them here with the trade results. Please wait for confirmation before setting up any trades.
HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK!
