Green to feel blue? Is your vision purely golden? Is your humour black or olden? Do you find you're getting yellow? 'Though you know you're in the red dread...

In this challenge, your goal is to create and publish a role-playing game on RPGGeek by April 1, 2016. Anyone with an RPGGeek account can participate. The secondary goal is to have fun and become an internationally famous celebrity so you can attend game conventions for free, and even charge for your autograph.

The Prizes

Those who enter will receive an exclusive microbadge (Microbadge: 2016 Fool's Challenge participant-thanks Schwartzkopf!) and I also will distribute any tips received equally among all participants. Plus, you may win extra Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper from my personal dragon’s hoard. In the final geeklist entry of your game (when you complete the challenge) add in a no-monkey-business dice roll 4d6 and I’ll tip you that much from my own hoard (will it be fool's gold?).

The Details

I am a n00b at this type of activity so be nice when you elucidate my shortcomings. For the Fool’s Challenge, your creation must be completed by April 1, 2016.

To complete the challenge, you must:

1 Create a role-playing game that epitomizes the spirit of April Fool’s.

2 Create an "RPG" entry on RPG Geek (using the Misc/RPG menu item) for your game. You get Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper for doing this! Steffan’s Rule: If your game is going to link to an already existing RPG entry that’s OK too.

3 Create an "RPG Item" entry on RPG Geek (using the Misc/RPG Item menu item) for your game. This may require you to create Designer/Artist/Production Staff entries as well. For the Publisher, please select "(Web published)" and/or use common sense. You get Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper for doing this!

4 When your RPG and RPG Item entries are approved, upload a "logo" image to the RPG and a "representative" image(s) to the RPG Item. When they are approved via geekmod, nominate them to be the respective images. You get Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper and thumbs for doing this!

5 When your RPG Item entry is approved, upload the completed game as a PDF file (making sure that no part of it infringes anybody else's copyright, etc., etc.). You get Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper for doing this (but nobody ever thumbs files).

6 Add the RPG or RPG Item of your wonderful creation to this geeklist.

Now you can bask in the glory of being a published game designer. In addition, you might be interested in several perks - you'll earn Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper for your RPG, RPG Item, image, and file submissions. This will be special Microbadge: GeekGold Tipper because you've earned it the hard way. You'll be able to request the "Game Designer" banner for your badge. You'll qualify for Microbadge: RPG Author. You'll see Microbadge: I give thumbs up pouring into your account by the millions dozens ones and twos. You'll receive job offers from many game publishers who are astounded at your work. And you'll provide home-grown content to support 2016 RPGG Review Challenge Signup List.

This contest is going to follow the "Be a Good Chap" code, popular on BGG (that other, "also-ran" site):

Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! We're all good chaps, so behave
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! We're friendly, honest, and err on the side of being good to each other
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! If we make mistakes we own up, apologize, and make good as far as possible
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! We treat others as we'd want to be treated
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! We're here to have spiffing fun
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! We use the Oxford comma in all our sentences (this is Tyraziel’s rule and may not be impugned)
Microbadge: I always invade dungeons with a hangover! Good Chaps don't make public accusations
