This regular WABA meet was made extra special by longtime members Rob and Leece celebrating their 20th anniversary of their married gaming together and them sharing their cake!

WABA's guild can be found here.
The metalist of WABA games played can be found here.

Rob and Leece taught me this fun dexterity game as our monsters rampaged through the city, physically dropping our monsters and flicking vehicles to smash buildings and using our powers to eat the various meeples. I somehow ended up with the win!

The view from my young monster as he eyed the city about to be destroyed...

We were joined by Paul and his son, and played this two game in two teams, Rob & Leece v me, Paul and his son. This game is sees both teams (or players) placing the same randomly chosen Tetris-like tile on the board until one team cannot legally place the tile. Rob & Leece took the victory.

Rob & Leece taught Paul & his son (playing as one team) and I this game for the first time. It was easy to learn and we were soon under way, using our various actions and minions to do our dastardly best against the others. I remember that I had Trickster Ghosts (i.e. poltergeists), Paul & his son Zombie Pirates, Leece had Plants(?) and whatever Rob had was good as he took out the win (with me dead last).

I can now understand both the popularity of this game and how easy it is to have numerous expansions.

We finished with a 5 player game of WABA's second most played game in 2015 (see here). Paul's son was the first to die, with Rob's fire-breath assisting to kill both him and next Leece. Paul had racked up a healthy number of power-ups, including wings and extra damage, and he used both to take Rob out and me to low health. It was then a race about whether I would get to 20 points or die first, and I managed to get to the 20 points!
