Here it is! Where we decide on the best historical game of all time! Scroll down the list and choose the one you think is the best historical game made. Then post a comment, and confirm that you vote for it.
If your choice isn't on the list, then you can nominate it by adding it as an item! Make sure you add a vote if you do this. Also, please do not nominate games that are not your choice.
In one month, I'll add up the votes and post the winner in the geeklist comment section!
Good luck, and may the best historical game win!

This is a fantastic simulation of the Napoleonic era. Great mechanics, plus a beautiful board really immerses you in the early 19th century.

I add my vote to Napoleon in Europe.

This has to be my choice, it certainly has the feel of all the problems medieval kingship for me. Unrest over taxation (Robin Hood, I want his head, now ! angry ), famine, pesky raiders and maruading independants, it's go the lot.

If we are judging by historical feel and realism, this is a much better choice for the Napoleonic era.

While the historical accuracy is far more dubious than in many other historical games (the War of 1812 can occur in 1805, for example), this is simply the most fun historical game I know. Wild ride, always a hoot!

I know, this game has it's flaws, but I still love to play it anyway! The scenarios are historical and I have even learned some WW2 history from playing.

My vote is for this one.

The designers put a lot of history into this great game. Lots of leaders and lots of event cards. At times you can play more than one event and use Ops for various things and move. The art is great too, like a Macendonian unit counter is represented with a nice depiction of a phalanx and not a boring, single soldier clip art. Word from one of the designers is that the artist of the AH version will be doing the art for Successors III. Preorder it from GMT, yo!

Complex, but probably one of the best simulations out there. Let's say there is more than sheer arms to a conflict.
