Request List (to request items that you would like to see people list in the math trade): Fall Granite Game Summit 2016 No Ship Math Trade - Nashua, NH (Request List)

Rules

1. Use of the On-Line Want List Generator (OLWLG) http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/ is required for this event.

2. Board and card games, BGG-related items (including Geek Gold), and gaming accessories are allowed in this math trade.

3. Cash and gift cards are NOT allowed in this Math Trade.

4. You must describe, as accurately as possible, the condition of both the components and box, language and edition of your item and any sweeteners. You must also inventory the game's components and list anything missing and/or damaged. If you do not, the game is expected to be complete, in like-new condition and be the most recent English edition.

5. Sweeteners are to be listed using the "Insert Geek Link" dropdown or you can manually insert the GAMEID using BGG formatting. If you don't use this format your sweeteners won't show up in the OLWLG properly. Do NOT list any item, using a Geek Link if that item is itself not included in the offering. The OLWLG will pick this up as an item that is being included. Similarly, if you are listing something which is a component, promo, or accessory of a game, list it either with its own BGG entry or using “Outside the Scope of BGG”. DO NOT LIST IT AS THE ITEM, IF YOU DO SO THE WANTLIST FOR THAT ITEM WILL BE BLANKED TO AVOID CONFUSION.

6. You are required to periodically check your entries for comments and respond to them appropriately. The OLWLG will let you know if any of your items have unanswered comments. If you need to add a comment which can in any way be construed as "lessening" the value or desirability of the game, you should instead edit the entry to blank it out and re-enter it. This also goes for edits of the main item. Any downgrades of an item after it has been posted will not be tolerated and may result in that item's want list being blanked by the moderator, at the moderator's discretion.

7. Only errors by the moderator will invalidate the results. In the case that there is a problem after the results are posted, the trade will be re-run with the issue addressed.

8. No geekgold arbitrage. You may not put geekgold on the want list for your geekgold entry. Any occurrences of arbitrage in the end results will result in that user's entire wantlist for all entries to be removed.

9. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ENTERING INTO THIS MATH TRADE IS A COMMITMENT TO TRADE THE ITEMS THAT YOU ARE INDICATING YOU ARE WILLING TO TRADE FOR YOUR ITEM. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DOUBLE CHECK DUPLICATE PROTECTION AND CHECK BOXES. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO TRADE ONE OF YOUR ITEMS FOR ANOTHER ITEM, DO NOT INCLUDE IT IN YOUR WANTLIST. THE RESULTS ONCE POSTED ARE BINDING.

10. If circumstances arise that prevent you from being present at the trade execution time, you can have a proxy execute your trades for you, or you are responsible for any shipping costs and logistics for your trades. Please do not enter this trade if you are not 100% certain that you will be an attendee of Granite Game Summit.

This is an old, rare game by Karl-Heinz Schmiel (designer of Die Macher among other things). The rules are in German but an English translation is included. It's been stickered and presumably played, but everything is in fine shape. The box has minor wear.

Two games by the inimitable Frank Branham. They're both pretty good games, but I just never play them - you know how it is.

1. Warhamster Rally. This was the game that Frank prototyped as Aquarium Derby. It's a race game using programmed movement cards. This is the second edition, which as I recall differs from the first in having a board made from sections of light cardboard rather than folded paper. The cards have been opened and the pieces stickered, but the chips are unopened so it probably hasn't been played. The box bottom has been indented but is intact.

2. Nodwick: The Card Game. This is kind of like Pit with body parts. The cards are still sealed.

A kind of weird game - players race around the table by rolling dice down ramps. It works a lot better than it sounds.

All copies of this game are in German. This copy has printouts of an English translation. The components are language-neutral except for the cards, which are also translated (and can be ignored if you prefer).

The game has been played a few times and has very minor wear.

I can't believe no one has uploaded any action shots to the game's gallery... fortunately

The box has the usual early JKLM box issue in that the paper is coming loose on the inside edges. Otherwise everything is in fine shape.

This is an old game co-designed by Urs Hostettler. It's a not very serious game about Swiss politics - players get dealt politicians and try to get them elected to local councils, then the federal legislature, and finally the federal executive. There are lots of event cards and ballot cards; many ballot cards give votes based on policy positions shown on the politician cards, but others give votes based on personal characteristics (of the politicians, not the players) and you might have to argue about them.

This is the French edition titled Jeu des élections. I have a rough translation of the rules which should be adequate to play with, as it's fairly simple, but the cards are NOT translated.

The small cards have not been separated. (The large politician cards came separated.) The box has minor wear.

Small amounts of four collectible-component games:

1. Cards from Decipher's Star Trek CCG (1st edition). 208 are Premiere (black-bordered), including 9 rares, 44 uncommons, and 155 commons (the rares are Alidar Jarok, Cytherians, Devoras, Duras (x2), Horga'hn, Survey Mission, Warp Core Breach, and Wesley Crusher). There are also 37 white-bordered cards, which are the contents of 3 Warp Packs plus an extra card. The Premiere cards were played with once or twice. A few have tiny nicks or scuff marks. The Warp Packs were not used (one is still sealed).

2. A starter deck for Fleer's original series Star Trek: The Card Game. There are supposed to be 65 cards but I have 66, don't ask me why. It was played with once or twice.

3. Avatar: The Last Airbender Trading Card Game. This is a decent two-player dueling game on the simpler side. I have one starter set (Aang vs. King Bumi); it has been played once or twice and is in excellent condition.

4. Star Wars PocketModel TCG. I have one starter (Obi-Wan's Attack Battalion) and one Tactics pack.

The starter has the rules, assembly instructions, and play mat. It does not have the dice. It has six unpunched models (three Droid Fighters and three Dwarf Spider Droids) and three assembled ones: the Republic Gunship (exclusive to this starter), Slave-I, and Biggs Darklighter's Skyhopper. Slave-I seems to be complete, as does the Gunship, although the bit that gets inserted into the base is torn (it can still be used, it will just be a bit lower). The Skyhopper might be missing a small piece or two. Six of the starter's cards are missing and some of the rest are a bit bent; the exclusive ones are there and in OK shape (no actual creases).

The Tactics pack is unpunched and has two Tri-Droids and two V-19 Torrents. Its cards are all present and in fine shape. The packaging is torn.

Two Reiner Knizia games and an extra:

1. Callisto. This is Knizia's take on Blokus, more or less; it has significant differences but has a similar feel. It's been played a few times and is in very good condition.

2. Head-to-Head Poker. This is a two-player game somewhat reminiscent of Schotten-Totten, but here players are building poker hands and make bets on who will win each opposed pair of hands. The components (which includes a nice set of plastic chips) are in very good condition. The box has some indentation.

3. Austin Poker. Another poker-based game, but this one is by Alan Ernstein, is for up to six players, and is more elaborate, with players buying bonus cards between hands which have special abilities. This is a promotional version given out at a convention - it has all the special cards and mats needed to play, but does NOT have the standard poker decks or the chips. There might be enough chips in Head-to-Head Poker to play this, but I am not promising that. (There definitely aren't enough cards.) This has not been used.

Two old games:

1. Code Name: Sector. The computer worked the last time I checked it, which was just a few years ago, so it should be fine. It is missing three plastic submarines, but they are just used to keep score, so they are not really necessary. It is also missing the cleaning cloth and the crayon sharpener. It does have four submarines, the parallel rule, and what appear to be the original crayons in the original crayon box.

All of that is in decent shape. The box is in lousy shape but is still more or less intact.

2. The Generals. This is a Stratego-like game which has an electronic moderator (so you don't know which piece you encountered, just whether you beat it or not). It is the Ideal edition.

The board and pieces are in good shape. The box has a lot of wear but is basically intact.

This worked when I last used it, but that was a long time ago and I did not check it. However, it was not stored with batteries in it so there's no reason it shouldn't work. What definitely doesn't work is the sound, which I disabled because it was really annoying.

Two (primarily) two-player games:

1. Side Swap. It's something like Chinese Checkers - the goal is to get your pieces across the board, and jumping is involved - but there are some differences (even aside from the fact it's played on a checkerboard). It can be played by four players, individually or in partnerships.

The board and pieces are in decent shape. The flimsy box is not. A videotape is included which presumably demonstrates how to play (I have not watched it).

This is from Sid Sackson's collection.

2. Othello, because it also has black and white pieces. This is an American pocket edition similar to the one shown. The (unnecessary) box has wear but the board and pieces are fine.

A lot of abstract games:

1. Super Tic-Tac-Toe. This is by Al Newman, was known as Super 3 in Germany, and is a lot better than it looks - quite a decent little placement game. This is a Pressman edition (in English). The flimsy box has wear. The components are fine except for the little feet that get inserted into the bottom of the board, some of which are broken. This just means that the board rests directly on the table, which is fine.

2. L-Game. Simple game designed by Edward de Bono. This edition I think was a bonus given out by some mail-order game store in the 1980s, though I could be misremembering. It has translucent plastic pieces which look similar to those pictured, although that picture is not of this edition. It's in decent shape.

3. Square Dance. A cute little placement game ("little" is meant literally as this is maybe 4 inches on a side). Rules are in multiple languages including English. It's in excellent condition.

4. Cube Fusion. Double Decker edition. Box not in great shape, components are decent. From Sid Sackson's collection.

5. Thorns. One of 3M's line of paper-and-pencil games. The envelope is rough. A fair number of sheets are included.

6. Crosse. TSR edition. In very good condition (the box is plastic so it doesn't show much wear despite kicking around for many years).

7. Shuttles. University Games edition. It's not particularly worn, but the box has damage, it is missing the rules (they are available on the game page), and one of the purple pieces is missing. There is a replacement included, which is the wrong color and much taller than the originals, but it does fit in the holes.

An obscure American election game. This copy has a sticker covering the title saying "Kingmaker" and an extra set of rules (from the original designer) with that title; it's not entirely clear to me if it's meant to be a brand-new game with the same components or a revamp of the original rules. This is because the rules can be a bit hard to follow, however the games appear interesting enough.

The box has some wear and another sticker stating that the designer/publisher donated it to something. The cards and board are in fine shape. It has a few kind of random pieces to use on the board; it's not clear how many or what kind should be there. Since the board is really just used to track information you can use any kind of small markers.

Sweetener: Candidate from Avalon Hill. It's mostly in very good condition on the inside (the box has some scuffing). However, it is missing one counter (not important) and one card is damaged so you can tell which one it is from the back. Probably you could play by drawing from the bottom of the deck.

This is an oddity: a no-luck racing game published in 1955 by Parker Brothers (and subsequently by others). Had a revival of sorts after Phil Orbanes wrote an article about it for Games & Puzzles. Paul Jeffries used to sell (or may still sell) his modified version of the game.

This is the original Parker Brothers edition, in English. The box lid is in lousy shape, with pieces coming off, but the box bottom is OK and the contents are in fine shape.

This is an abstract tile-placement game with some similarities to Knizia's Indigo, although here players are trying to connect opposite sides of the board. It's decent, although possibly could use a little tweaking. My English translation is included.

It is one of a set of games produced in the late 1990s by a Dutch company called Pseudon Productions. This was run by Theo Jansma who also designed all but one of its games. None of the games had professional production standards, but the components are generally adequate. The ConXion components are in decent shape (the board has some trouble laying flat, but it probably always did). The box has some split corners.

An interesting connection game which can be played by two players or four in partnerships. It includes a printout of the English rules and there is no text in the game. It was played twice with sleeves, so the cards are still in excellent condition. (The sleeves are not included.) The box has very minor wear.

The Geek? Yes, it's a good site. But - ah! You should have seen it before the rebranding! It was legible and a joy to read! All gone now, sadly, and so (mostly) am I because of it ...

I'm sorry, I cannot read this site regularly while the intense white background is in effect. I have eye health issues, and this is painful. I'll still make brief visits, largely for trades and rules questions, but my socializing here is done for now

Very good condition except small blemish on the back of the box, about the size of a quarter. German language (the only way it was published), with English rules, and the components are language independent.

The contents are played but excellent condition. English.

One edge of the box lid got caught on something (during my move) and ripped adjacent corners, alas. Nice clean tears, but torn they are. So basically it's an otherwise excellent condition box with two torn corners - no noticeable shelf wear.

Sweetener: Assault on Icecrown Citadel. English. Played but excellent condition.

Serenissima (first edition) is the Eurogames English language edition. Complete, excellent condition except some of the flags might be a little crooked. Those things are hard to put on correctly! But all the flags are on the poles, the hard part of assembly.
