Math trades are an opportunity to trade away games (and other geeky items) you don't want anymore and receive new items in exchange. There is no cost to participate and no cost to attend the associated gaming event.
As a no-ship trade, participants are required to deliver and pick-up their successfully traded items at the designated date, time and location.

1. Valid Offers
1a) Boardgames are the main purpose of this trade. Video Games, RPGs and other geeky items are also permitted. Non-game entries must be added as "Outside the Scope of BGG", "Miscellaneous Game Merchandise" or "Miscellaneous Game Accessory" with altname tags in the item description.
1b) Gift Certificates are permitted. Cash offers are prohibited. Gift Certificate arbitrage is prohibited. Any participant accepting a gift card is required to pay the 3% commission fee required by the BGG Terms of Service. For details, see Cash Value Trades in Math Trades.
1c) Duplicate items, including gift certificates of the same value, can be posted using the copies command (%Options% Copies: 3 %End%) but are not permitted as separate items.
1d) Item bundles, sweeteners and choice of multiple items are permitted as long as the item description is unambiguous. Additional items must be added through the "Insert Geek Link" option.
2. Item Descriptions
All items must be described accurately and fully including:
Do not assume that your own standards are the same as everyones. Use the BGG standards linked here for definitions of New, Like New, Very Good, Good, Acceptable, Unacceptable, but also describe all damage and marks.
3. After Posting Items
3a) The OLWLG is updated manually so it will often not match the items in this Geeklist. Allow up to 24 hours for submitted items to be visible on the OLWLG.
3b) Check your items periodically for comments and respond to them appropriately. The OLWLG will let you know if any of your items have unanswered comments.
3c) Minor edits can be made as long as the change is clearly identified with an "Edit:" note at the bottom of the description and the original text striked out.
3d) Major edits that may change someone's interest in your item are not permitted. If you need to make major changes to an item, delete it and create a new item.
3e) If you have decided not to trade an item, or are unable to attend the trade, delete or submit a blank want list for that item.
4. Creating and Submitting Want Lists
4a) If you are unsure about the condition or version of any posted item, post a comment asking for more detail. If your questions are not answered to your satisfaction, do not add the item to your want lists.
4b) Want lists must be created and submitted through the OLWLG.
4c) Want lists may be edited and submitted any number of times during the want list submission period. Check your want list and all of the item descriptions thoroughly before submitting your final want list.
4d) Duplicate protection can be used to ensure you do not receive multiple copies of the same item.
5a) If you do not arrive to the physical trade on time, you will be required to deliver or ship your items at your own cost. Once the recipients confirm their arrival, you can pick up or pay to have your new items shipped.
5b) Items that do not comply with the above rules will be deleted or will have a blank want list submitted. Users who do not follow these rules, or who behave disrespectfully, may be suspended from this and future trades.
Remember to use the Math Trade Discussion Thread for any questions, suggestions or comments. If you have any concerns about a particular item or situation, please send a geekmail message to the organizer.
Thank you for participating and happy trading!
