****RULES FOR THIS TRADE****
You MUST send me a private message before the want lists are due to confirm that you will attend the trade day, or to let me know who will be there in your place.
A: Please try to be on time. Intentionally showing up 10 - 15 minutes past the deadline just creates a lot of tension and ill will among the people who have to wait. Latecomers will receive a strike toward the banned list. (A list I hope I never have to put a name on)
You MUST include the language, edition and condition of your game.
NEW FOR THIS TRADE: Due to a number of comments made last trade, I am upping the amount of attention that will be paid to this rule.
I have two people who have volunteered to help me monitor the geeklist. They will comment on your item if it is missing information.
ANY GAME THAT IS MISSING THIS INFORMATION WHEN THE GEEKLIST CLOSES WILL HAVE BLANK WANTLIST SUBMITTED FOR THAT ITEM. Once the list closes, you can no longer edit your items, so please make all changes before the deadline.
And please remember - the game's insert is a part of the game... A game cannot be complete if it is missing its insert.
ALSO, when determining condition for your game, please use the following keywords ONLY:
New in shrink: a game that is STILL in its original shrink wrap
Like new: A game that has been played a few times, no missing components, no creased cards, original instructions included, GAME INSERT IS INCLUDED. You would give this game away as a gift.
Very good: A used game. MAy be some wear on the box or components, but game is still perfectly playable. All components accounted for.
Player's copy: wear, missing component, replaced component, game is still playable
I will be keeping a complaint list. If you do have an issue with one of your trades, please keep me informed. Two strikes against a user will result in being barred from participating in future trades.
Our current banned list is empty, however I do have a name on the one strike list.
We will allow non-boardgame items. There will be a limit of:
Videogame offers - No Limit
RPG offers - No limit
1 miscellaneous offer (please check with me first.)
You can offer as many gift certificates as you like with the following rules:
***NEW(ish) & IMPORTANT***
GIFT CERTIFICATE RULES:
BGG has instituted a new policy regarding Cash and Gift Certificates offered in a math trade. Please see the following thread for the new policy - Cash Value Trades in Math Trades (and how to make a geek market listing for them). The one sentence summary: Cash & GCs are now considered like a sale, and are therefore subject to BGGs 3% commission. The person receiving the cash/GC is responsible for the 3%. Failure to comply with the BGG rules can result in repercussions for the trade going forward.
What does this mean for us? There is more upkeep involved in Cash/GCs now then there was before.
Minimum value of $10
You must use the copies option to offer multiple copies of a gift certificate with the same value using this in the description box:
If you are unsure about anything, please feel free to message me and ask.
For all NON BOARDGAME ITEMS:
1) Enter the item as Miscellaneous Game Accessory.
2) Use the +altname+ (Your item name here) -altname- after your description so the OLWLG will list it by the name you give it.
CASH OFFERS and GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE OKAY.
FINALLY, you cannot include cash/gift certificates in the wantlist of your own gift certificate. In other words, you cannot trade a $20 gift card for a $40 gift card. This list is to trade games, not make a profit.
