2 things before I start with this:

1.) I am in no way shape or form affiliated with PAX
2.) This is my first time arranging a Geeklist for this type of event so any tips and pointers will be very helpful! p.s. I referred to Patrick Pence's Dice Tower Con Geeklist for a great reference

What Is This?

This is simply a listing for any and all organized play. Due to the attendance at these big conventions it is often super easy to play just about any game you want. So please refrain from posting short, quick and easy games because those can easily be started at any time! Keep all posts for longer games (2+ hours). While it is possible to play longer games they do still take a bit of coordination hence why this list exists!

How Does This Work?

How to find a game you are interested - Simply scroll down this list until you find one. The entire list is in alphabetical order to make it easier to find. Comment in the comment section of that game and the organizer will reach back out to you, it's that simple!

How to request a game you do not see - In the comment section on the far bottom of the page there is a comment section that is not attached to any games. Please post all requests there, and hopefully someone will notice!

How to organize a game - Follow these steps:

1.) Click on the "Add Item" button at the bottom of this post
2.) Click on "Board Game"
3.) Enter the game and the following in the description:
-Game Title (Which matches what you entered)
-Number of Players
-Date and Time (Enter TBD if you are not sure at the moment)
-Location/Table (use this map to pick a spot!)
-Expected Playing Time (Duration)
-Experience Required (i.e. Beginners, No rules explanation, etc)
4.) Fill out any other details you would like, it is highly recommended to start up a list of people that sign up

It is very useful if people can bring in extra copies of games! If you see a listing and a high demand to play that particular game, then please help out!

At the moment we have no floor plan information, neither do we have scheduled event times, or a list of the game library. So just be aware that some plans may change once these things are announced.

I'll be sure to add more info when I get it, but for now hopefully you guys find this useful!

Deathbot Derby is a robot building/Fighting game for 2 or 4 players. In DeathBot Derby players build their bots using a quick card drafting mechanism and then face off in an ever changing arena. They will have to strategically move and attack their opponent to gain the tactical advantage. The winning DeathBot goes home a champion, and the loser goes back to the scrap heap they came from.

-Experience Required - None, but it wouldn't hurt if you go watch the rules girl video or the Tabletop run through.

Lengthy and fun cooperative game. I own all the expansions, so if you're curious what the game plays like with everything added or would like to try it out but haven't had the chance, this is your opportunity.

Once I get interest I will coordinate a time/day/place with interested parties.

Requested Experience Level of Players: I expect that anyone who signs up will learn the rules in advance, but there is no requirement to have played before (I haven't).

Fine print:
I am only interested in playing a two player game, and, though I own the game, I have not yet played it (the combination of its length and the fact that it is really a two player game has kept it from hitting the table).

I'll know the rules and be prepared to teach, but, in full disclosure, it will be my first game.

I will not set a time until the PAX schedule comes out. I don't want to commit to something and then back out. If the PAX schedule is such that I cannot find a four hour block, this might not happen, or I might try to do this the night before PAX at a pre-pax game night, should one be organized.

This is more of a heads up to gauge interest.

I'm coming in early for the con and leaving late. If you're doing the same, or local, how about Thursday or Monday for a game of Twilight Imperium? It's hard to justify tying up an entire convention day with one game, but a non-convention day, that's different!

Location...somewhere. Your house, a hotel lobby, a game store, a Starbucks.

Update: It wasn't looking great, so I didn't pack TI4. Besides, since it's releasing Thursday, there should be lots of copies floating around Philadelphia. Geekmail me if you're trying to get people together. I'm happy to teach, too, or at least just be there and kinda know how it all works.
