CLOSED - I have captured and printed this out to post at the con. Any further additions will not be reflected in the posted schedule, and you will need to add your name manually at the con.

This is a list where you can sign up for prototypes, longer games, and high demand games. This geeklist, and the associated wargame and prototype game sign ups below are the main game sign up geeklists.

Open Gaming
For those of you who have not attended, please note that at BGG.CON the vast majority of games will be open gaming. Find a few friends, pick a game, and play it. No real schedules. No hassle. Just have fun! I will be one of many available wearing a black vest to teach games and gather groups. If you are looking for someone to introduce you to a game, contact me or one of the others to get an introduction to the game.

Special Gaming
However, some games are sufficiently unusual (prototypes), or long, or of significant interest that some people will not want to miss out on knowing when they are planned to occur. This list is for those people. It is mostly meant so that people who wish to play these games can locate each other. I will print out this list and post it at the con so that times and locations can be written in.

If you are bringing a game which is likely to be a game wanting people to sign up so they do not miss it, feel free to add it to the list. Please do NOT add games that are likely to be easy to pick up (e.g. Top 100 or so). If you post it, you are committing to make sure it is there (i.e. bringing it). The person bringing the game is marked with a *.

Please, Please, Please use the format given so that I do not have to edit your posts! Follow for both the game entry AS WELL as the sign up!

The game entry format is:
[ b ]Game_Name[ / b ] - Your commentary

Suggested time: 1st: Thurs 7 pm
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Name 1 (bggid1) Has/bringing a copy
+ Name 2 (bggid2) Added comments as their post is deleted

The Signup Format is:
+ Name (bggid2) Comments

Note use of * for bringing game, + for sign up to play without copy.

Warning!: Once I get your sign up comment edited into the game entry, I will DELETE your comment to keep it neat so that I can print the list to bring with me.

We are putting some tentative dates and times for these, but they could be changed if those interested want to, and we may run them several times if people are interested.

Notice: I will post a final copy of this list at the con. If you are signed up for a game, please check that posting for changes in times. As each person plays a game, we should try to give priority to those who have not had a chance for later plays of that game.

Roads and Boats - This is one of my favorites. I will teach the rules, and help players become acquainted with the game in the first few turns. I would like to limit each game to 3-4 players to be manageable, so I will teach it once and then have multiple games running. I will also bring my silk painting map to play on for 3 player (See image).

We need extra copies of this game to be there so we can run multiple games at the scheduled times. That way, I only have to explain rules twice.

Be aware that this is a 4 hour game!

Remember, each session after instructions, we will split up into as many 3 player games as needed for players there, and copies of the game we have.

Suggested time: Thursday 10 am (New players game, Be there EARLY as soon as the doors open! We start ASAP!) Map: Desert Flood Introductory game.
+ Sterling Babcock (Solamar) Not bringing game
+ Yehuda Berlinger (Shade_Jon) Thursday only.
* Sean Brown (King Mob) Haven't played. Either Thurs, or perhaps Fri
+ Duffy Carter (Munin) I'm interested in the Thursday 10am new players game.
+ Chester Ogborn (cornjob) Played a little. Thurs 10AM new player game
+ Chris Brooks (CaptainCaveman) Played, but not competent. Thursday game.
+ Lynette Jagoda (Meerkat) Have not played. Only Thursday morning.
+ Lynette Jagoda (Meerkat) Bringing friend to play? I cannot remember.

I am a strong Maybe, but until I get hooked up with my friends from Houston Wed night I can't commit solidly to anything first thing Thurs morning except registration.

Suggested time: Friday 1 pm Map: Desert Flood
* Ryan Abrams (ryanabrams) Have not played. Will bring. Prefer Friday
+ One more. Prefer Friday
+ Kevin Ellingson (klellingson) Have not played. Prefer Friday
* Rodney Loyd (hotrodqt) Have not played. Prefer Friday. Will bring with expansion.
+ Hank Loyd (QTBigbankHank) Please put me in the same game as hotrodqt on Friday afternoon
+ David Turner (dturnerfish) Have not played, prefer Friday 1pm

Suggested 2nd : Saturday 1 pm Map: Desert Flood
+ Dave Duffield (HDTVDave) New player. I would like the Sat 1 PM time, but I am in the math trade. Could we start after that ends? (Ans. Yes, we should work around that.)

Unknown Time:
+ Brett Orr (molitor4) Will bring. Have Sterling's color player-aid.
+ Lynette Jagoda (Meerkat)
+ Aliza Panitz (Morganza) Never Played.
+ Dave Eisen (dkeisen) Have played but not well.
+ Bruce Keeney (Deckhand) Never played.
+ Aaron Cappocchi (agentzen) - Never played.

Tales of the Arabian Nights - This is the 1997 German edition with the expanded Book of Tales and color cards. I completely recreated all the cards, map overlays, etc. in English. We really need to limit this to 4 player games. It can go to 6, but it really drags.

Suggested time: Friday 9 am.
* Sterling Babcock (Solamar) Bringing game, Fri 9 am
+ Marcia Babcock (RedPhoenixNia) Fri 9 am
+ Sean Brown (King Mob) Never played, Friday
+ Jennifer Geske (jgeske) - Never played, prefers Friday

Possible 2nd : Saturday 2 pm? (So that I can teach Roads and Boats first)
+ Zev Shlasinger (Zman) Possible Saturday 1:30pm (or later afternoon)
+ Kevin Wood (kvn299) Would love to if a Saturday game doesn't interfere with Magic Realm
+ Ryan Abrams (ryanabrams) Never played. Saturday is fine.
+ Jet Regan (spreegirl97) - Hasn't played. 2pm Saturday

Unspecified time:
* Jeff Coon (Jeff) Never played. I can bring my copy if needed. (I'm local)
+ Carl Parsons (Batman) Either time is ok with me.
+ Scotty Dickey (otscotty) Never played. Flexible about time. Possible conflict with Magic Realm.
+ Brian (pwn3d) Never played. Flexible about time.

Dexterity Games Guy for BGG.Con
mbmbmbmbmb
Memphis - A pickup-and-deliver themed around building monuments in Egypt. Players traverse a modular river system to and from the quarry to pick up blocks, then deliver them to the desert via sleds pulled by workers, horses, or oxen. Placing a monument further from the river scores better because it's more likely that it will stand the test of time. Players earn influence that they can use to help themselves or hinder others.

After last year's playtesting at BGG.Con, it's now been converted to an action point system. The game seems to be fairly balanced between 2-6 players and just needs to be "broken". Also, a clarification needs to be made concerning how to handle blocking in other players and the best way to handle the "influence" cards.

The game as it is now runs approximately 30-40 minutes x the number of players.

Suggested time: 1st: Thursday 2pm
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Mike Cooper (thosw) (Bringing one copy - possibly a second.)
+ Sterling Babcock (Solamar) Thurs 2 pm
+ Marcia Babcock (RedPhoenixNia) Thurs 2 pm
+ Dave Eisen (dkeisen)
+ Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll)
+ Brian Graeme (in same game as sedjtroll)
+ Dave Koster (davek) Anytime

Mike Cooper: As stated, the game handles 6. If anyone's going to sit out, it'll be me, and I'll make this a true blind playtest. I'm interested in seeing how y'all handle it.

Magic realm - As mentioned over on my GeekList: Game I'll Teach I'd be happy to run this if there's enough interest. Please let me know which of the suggested times work best for you. That will help me decide which one we go with. If interests warrants it we can do both.

Suggested time: 1st: Thu 8-10pm, Fri 8am->???
Suggested time: 2nd: schedule to group

Due to the timing of the Poker Tournament (which I'll be running) I'll be unavailable Friday evening for a teaching session. If you're unable to make Thursday evening and/or Friday morning - come find me another time during the con and I'll give you an overview. I'm only planning on the 1st suggested time at this point. It looks like one or two of you have another copy of the game so we can do the group teaching sessions, and then run multiple games concurrently.

Requested so far:
* Jeff Anderson (CaptainQwyx) Will bring
+ Ken Hullett (LA_Ken) Can bring, but won't if someone else is
+ John Mellby (jmellby) Can bring the game if needed.
+ Brett Orr (molitor4) I want to get in as I missed last year. Times are fine with me.
+ Kevin Wood (kvn299) Very interested in learning. Thur/Fri preferred, but flexible.
+ Scotty Dickey (otscotty) Never Played. Flexible about time.
* Brian Conry (bncconry) I played last year, enjoyed it, have a copy, prefer 1st suggested time
+ Will DeMorris (Bulwyf) Played this a ton on realmspeak. I'll bring my laptop to help run some of the larger/more complex combats
+ Jerry Hagen (jhagen1908) I'd like to learn.
+ Andrew Korson (AGKorson) Prefer Friday. Own, but never played. Can bring it if needed
+ Ryan Abrams (ryanabrams) - I'd really like to learn this and see what it's about, but the seemingly really long playtime may not fit the schedule. I'm down with friday 8-10, but the Saturday 8->?? is intimidating. Maybe I can just watch during the teaching stage to get a feel for it?

das Motorsportspiel - Not really a long game, but unusual enough that it's unlikely to hit the table otherwise. Thursday night is one of the proposed Magic Realm times. Earlier Thursday or sometime Friday might work.

Suggested time: 1st: Thurs 10 am?
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Ken Hullett (LA_Ken) Has/bringing a copy. Thursday night works for me
+ Cara Conry (bncconry), Never played, but love Formula De. Racing and Boardgaming, how can you go wrong? Anytime works for me.
+ Mike Cooper (Thosw) Would play if an alternate time.
+ Dave Duffield (HDTVDave) Haven't played, wanted to last year but didn't get to it. I can't do Thu10AM, I won't arrive until 11AM. Later Thu would be good.

Mike Cooper: I'm finding out I really like racing games, so I think this is one I may want to play a couple of times. Can we either move it back to 10/11am on Thursday, or sometime Thursday evening - maybe 7/8pm? I've got a prototype I'm showing at 2pm Thursday. Or barring that, I'd play another day.

Supernova - A tile-placing game where 3-5 players are trying to escape the impending Supernova of the sun in their galaxy. There is battle, resource management, bidding and backstabbing. Supernova is more or less in a final state.

The game runs from 2hrs for 3 players up to 3 hrs for 5. This depends greatly on the amount of getting food, chatting with spectators and AP that goes on. It is however, a great time. I'm looking forward to meeting and playing with everyone!

Suggested time: 1st: Thursday 7pm
Suggested time: 2nd: Friday 10am

I will organize additional playtimes by request/demand.

Requested so far:
* Oliver Harrison (Wrevilo) (Bringing one copy)
+ Miguel Hidalgo-Barnes (Infernarl)
+ Tim O'Connor (tubbsoc) - looking forward to it Oliver.

Bellhop is a strategy game where players play as competing shift managers in a hotel. The year is 1939, in New York; the guests in the hotel are leaving for the World's Fair. Each player controls a team of bellhops in the hotel and attempts to earn the most tips by helping the guests off of the elevator and with their luggage as they arrive in the lobby.

You can backstab your friends' bellhops and reduce his/her tips by stopping their elevator. Be careful, though, as you might not be able to get your guests to the lobby without help! The player who has received the most tips at the end of the game wins. Maximize your points by collecting guests of all types. Try to get a bonus by helping the most guests of any one type.

Bellhop plays with 2-5 players and lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. It is a Euro-style game that has some thinky bits, some backstabby bits and some great little meeple bits.

I will organize additional playtimes by request/demand.

Suggested time: 1st: Thursday 2pm
Suggested time: 2nd: Friday 2pm

Requested so far:
* Oliver Harrison (Wrevilo) (Bringing two copies)
+ Sean Brown (King Mob) Thurs should work for me.
+ Dana Nichols (DanaLee) Either time
+ Aaron Cappocchi (agentzen) Only Friday works for me.
+ Jennifer Geske (jgeske) prefers Thurs time

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Terra Prime - Space exploration/resource management game for 3-5 players. Something of a Twilight Imperium Lite perhaps, lasting 1.5-2 hours. This one's gone through some changes recently, and still isn't quite done, though testers seem to like it anyway. Maybe you can help me put the finishing touches on it!

Suggested time: 1st: Thurs 5 pm (after Memphis)
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll) Bringing game, will sit out to make space for playtesters
+ Sterling Babcock (Solamar) Thurs 5 pm (after Memphis)

+ Brian Conry (bncconry)

+ Dan Oster (Skullsplitter)
+ Mike Cooper (thosw) - Any time after Thursday.
+ Karl Gallagher (selenite)
+ Kevin Felker (kevinfelker42)- Terra Prime & Blockade Runner

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Homesteaders - an Auction and Resource Management game in which players bid on the opportunity to build certain types of buildings, then spend resource cubes to build one of several buildings of that type. The buildings confer abilities, income, and points; some automatically and some requiring a Worker.

The game lasts 10 rounds, with each round consisting of an Auction phase followed by a Building phase. After the last round, players get 1 final income phase and one last chance to buy and sell goods and use their building abilities before scores are tallied.

Players score for their buildings, bonuses conferred by buildings, and points earned throughout the game from selling resource cubes. The player who builds the best combination of buildings and best manages the 9 different resources in the game will score the most points and win, as long as they don't take on too much debt in the process!

Suggested time: 1st: Thurs 8:00 pm
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll) Bringing a copy
+ Dave Eisen (dkeisen)
+ Gil Hova (IngredientX)
+ Dan Oster (Skullsplitter)
+ Mike Cooper (thosw) - Any time after Thursday.
+ Charles Nichols (Senor Swanky)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Blockade Runner - a game I've made with Boyan Radakovich, and which is intended to be published by Shifting Skies games. The game has a Firefly/Serenity theme.

The Alliance has instituted a blockade on Hera and the independent planets in its system. Players are smugglers racing from the blockade perimeter to Hera and back, trading contraband and trying to keep ahead of the Alliance Cruiser on their tail.

In Blockade Runner play is simultaneous so there's a big element of bluffing, intuition, and prisoner's dilemma. The game lasts 6-12 turns, so it plays fast... 2 player games take about 15 minutes, 5 player games take about 30 minutes.

Suggested time: 1st: Thurs (ongoing, the game is quick, so can be played in the interim between other games)
Suggested time: 2nd: Will schedule to group

Requested so far:
* Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll) Bringing a copy (maybe 2)
+ Sterling Babcock (Solamar) Thurs
+ Marcia Babcock (RedPhoenixNia) Thurs
+ Bruce Keeney (deckhand)
+ Charles Nichols (Senor Swanky)
+ Erik Nicely (Harkonnen13)
+ Sean Tompkins (seanp)
+ Karl Gallagher (selenite)
+ Kevin Nunn (kgnunn)
+ Debra Joyner
+ Kevin Felker (kevinfelker42)- Terra Prime & Blockade Runner
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Lost Adventures - play an adventurer a la Indiana Jones, gathering information on 3 hidden Relics, the Lost Temple and how to navigate it, and the Holy Grail. Meanwhile, a relentless enemy is searching for the Temple as well ("Nazis... I hate these guys.")! The more information you get, the more Enemies are added to the board and the faster they approach the Temple. Once found, players navigate the Lost Temple in search of the Holy Grail. The Enemy is also searching for the grail, and the game ends as soon as it is found.

Suggested time: 1st: Saturday 2pm

Requested so far:
* Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll) Bringing a copy (maybe 2)

SITS 2.0 - This is the simpler version of Attack Vector: Tactical set in the universe of David Weber's Honor Harrington novels. This one hasn't generated much interest so far, which surprises me, as it is much more accessible for new players. Maybe it's that some people have already purchased AV:T and want to learn it.

Anyway, we can certainly changed the time to something more convenient to those interested.

Puerto Rico Interested in playing 'Speed' PR, estimated to finish in under 25 minutes. I also need someone who can record this to post on YouTube; then I will post a session report with commentary and link to the video. This will establish the 'unofficial record' for 5 players. If there is any interest of note I'll run it again, for 4 or 5 players.
rationale
Many players are so familiar with the game they are capable of playing almost on automatic. Playing at this speed you can expect to make some small or not so small errors, and that's part of the idea: making a game which often plays the same for you play out differently.
rules
The timer starts when the lid comes off the box. Set up as you go; game will probably be 1/2 complete when set up is finished. If you take longer than 5 seconds to make a decision another player may make it for you.

Suggested time: Sunday 10 am
Suggested 2nd: Thursday 1 pm

+ Winton Lemoine (hector vortac) I did intend to play it myself; guess I'd better get my name in
+ Seth Jaffee (sedjtroll) count me in!

One Night Ultimate Werewolf
mbmbmb
Werewolf for new players - On Thursday night at BGG.con, I will be providing 30 free copies of Ultimate Werewolf (the cards-only edition) to the first 30 werewolf "virgins" to sign up for two sessions hosted by Werewolf moderator extraordinare Jared Heath (if you've been to BGG.con before, Jared is often one of the great moderators in the late night werewolf fests each night).

Even though there are often dozens of werewolf players playing each night at BGG.con way into the morning hours, new players might feel intimidated, so these two games are designed to introduce players to werewolf who have limited or no experience.

Experienced Werewolf players: Please do not sign up if you're an experienced werewolf player...I know it's a free game and all, but think of this as expanding the werewolf player base so that even more people can enjoy the game that many of us love. And of course, if you've played werewolf at any of the last few BGG.con's, I know who you are...

Each game is limited to the first 15 players who sign up for each game; please do not sign up for both games! There will be more werewolf games being played following these (or even concurrently), but these are the only two specifically designed for NEW werewolf players or gamers who want to experience what all this fuss is about werewolf.

The games will use a fairly basic version of the Ultimate Werewolf cardset, the same set of cards you'll receive for signing up and playing.

Note: I have changed the starting time of the 2nd game to be immediately following the Thoughthammer giveaway, instead of exactly at midnight.

1st Game: Thursday 11 pm
2nd Game: Thursday Midnight (immediately following the Thoughthammer giveaway)

Requested so far for 1st game (Thursday 11pm):
1+ Gabe Alvaro (blindspot) Never played werewolf. I'd like to be in the 1st game. Thanks.
2+ Aliza Panitz (Morganza) I just don't get what all the fuss is about this game, but I'm willing to give it a try. 11 PM session.
3+ Jeff Coon (Jeff) Played once online, never in person. Willing to give it a shot. Prefer 11pm.
4+ Brett Orr (molitor4). Never played before and really looking forward to it. Thursday at 11pm works best for me.
5+ Ross Gerke (ZiggyZambo) I'd love to learn how to play.
6+ Dennis Parsons (dennpars) Would like to play at the 11pm session. I've never played werewolf and my wife has no idea what I'm signing her up for...muhahahah! We only need one copy though...unless you want to give us the version with all the goodies as a 2 fer.
7+ Keddie Parsons (dennpars) Would like to play at the 11pm session.
8+ Tim O'Connor (tubbsoc), 11pm would be great
9+ james napoli (darlok) I would be up for 11:00pm. i tried to play at the last bgg.con, but not enough players joined
10+ Scott M (Schlotto) I'm in for 11! Have always heard about WW but never had an opportunity to play.
11+ Dave Romanzin(SamIam) Never played. Would like to join the 11pm game. Thanks.
12+ Rodney Loyd (hotrodqt) Would like to join 11pm game.
13+ Hank Loyd (qtbigbankhank) Would like to join 11pm game.
14+ Mark Wilder (joeyhemlock) - I've played once, but with only six people and it wasn't much fun. I'd like to try again with more. Is that virginal enough? I don't think I've quite gone "all the way". Willing to do either time, preferable with more people, though.
15+ Jared Frandson (jfrands) 11pm game please

Requested so far for 2nd game (Thursday midnight FOLLOWING the Thoughthammer Giveaway):
1+ Mark Salamon (Salamon) midnight game, please, but after the Thoughthammer giveaway thing
2+ Ryann Salamon (posiegirl) we are going to a concert in town but will be back by midnight
3+ Sean Brown (King Mob) Since everyone seems to want the 11pm game, sign me up for the 12pm game. I've wondered what all the hoopla was about the game, but it always seemed like you had to have played before to join in.
4+ Chris Bailey (ixnay66) I'm a werewolf newbie. Count me in for the midnight game.
5+ Ian Allen (glookose)
6+ Jonathan Burd (Dr. Burd) I would be interested in midnight, but don't want to miss the Thoughthammer giveaway.
7+ Betty Dingus (Dingus) played once, online, years ago
8+ Eric Dingus (Zildjian Kid) never played
9+ Jennifer Geske (jgeske) - have never played this game
10+ David Molnar (molnar) 2nd game - we've never played. Good idea, Ted.
11+ Ava Molnar (avaer)
12+ Kevin Felker (kevinfelker42)- definitely interested in some late night werewolf
13+ Dave Duffield (HDTVDave) Midnight game
14+
15+

Jeff (CaptainQwyx) has offered to teach this game in his BGG.CON 2007 teaching geeklist. I asked him about scheduling this on Saturday at noon, and I have his kind blessings.

Quote:
18xx can be kind of a cult - there are experts/diehards who play nothing else. I'm not one of them. I enjoy the occasional foray into robber-baroning, but prefer not to play with the regulars as our styles of play do not match*.

So, I offer here a safe, comfortable learning experience for anyone out there who wants to try the 18xx world without a shark at the table. New players (or strictly casual players) only please.

I can also do 2038 if that interests you.

* I mean no offense to those who play this system regularly. It's just that it can be a little intimidating for the first-timers. My first experience was with a group of regulars, playing 18GA or something, and on the coaching from other players became a little more than "helpful advice" and turned into the game being played for me - "here, do this and then he'll be bankrupt and the game will be over and you might win..." In the final total I came in second, but didn't really learn much about the game.

UPDATE: Jeff will run this on Saturday afternoon, and we will likely split into two tables.

Saturday noon (We may have to stop at 1pm for the Math Trade):
* Jeff Anderson (CaptainQwyx) - Teaching
+ Gil Hova (IngredientX)
+ Brett Orr (molitor4) I'd be interested in learning this, or any other 18xx as I have never played one before.
+ Scott Krutsch (skrutsch) Fri noon and/or Sat noon [except for Math Trade Sat 1pm] - a few solitaire turns of experience
* Chester Ogborn (cornjob) Saturday 12Noon game! Will bring. I need a brief break for the Math Trade. I think I'm looking forward to this maybe more than anything else at BGG.con.
+ Scott Krutsch (skrutsch) Fri noon and/or Sat noon [except for Math Trade Sat 1pm] - a few solitaire turns of experience
* Kevin Ellingson (klellingson) Sat. noon. I've played an 18xx game before, but it has been a while. I could bring a copy of this game.
+ Sean Brown (King Mob) I'd like to sit in on the teaching session Sat, but I won't be able to stay for a breakout game.
+ Tim Gilberg (Gilby) Friday Noon would be great.

Clue Master Detective - I've put this one in the library wishlist and, if no one has a better copy, I'll bring my beat-up one.

Look, no one I game with really likes deduction games as much as I do. I'm sure there are others in the same boat. Let's meet for a monster game of a deduction game that can take up to 10--and would be wild with that many.

I'm open on times.
+ Tim Gilberg (Gilby)
+ Mark Salamon (salamon) we are pretty flexible during the days
+ Ryann Salamon (posigirl) nights are packed
* Mike Cooper (thosw) I have two copies, together they should be in pretty good shape - plus I'm local.
+ Jennifer Geske (jgeske)- never played before but would like to learn
