'Official' AireCon 5 (UK, March 2019) No Ship Maths Trade
-
Maths trades are a great way to swap your old games. No-ship maths trades are even better because you get to meet your fellow traders and save on postage costs.
Please note this is a no ship maths trade for those attending the AireCon 5 (March 2019). The intention is that all trading will take place at the convention to avoid shipping costs. In order to participate in this maths trade you MUST be going to the AireCon 5, or be able to send your games via a proxy.

Please read the guidelines for this Maths Trade
1. This is a no ship maths trade for AireCon 5. Anyone is allowed to participate, but must be present at the convention to trade/exchange. (Or a proxy must be present).
2. There is no list cap; therefore, you can submit an unlimited number of items, but please be sensible. If there is something you really hope to see someone post; please list it in the Request Geeklist.
3. OLWLG (JeffyJeff's program) will be used. Participants are required to use it. (Please remember to tip JeffyJeff some GG for his support). Please feel free to ask questions in the discussion thread if you are new to the OLWLG.
4. Traders (those trading away games) and receivers (those getting the games) are highly recommended to contact each other and set up their own time and location to trade/receive games. It is useful to exchange mobile telephone numbers so that you can find each other at Expo.
5. SHIPPING SHALL BE PAID BY THE ABSENT PARTY.
In the event that you cannot make it to AireCon 5 due to unforeseen circumstances or you are not able to meet up, then you will be required to ship the packages to the other person. The cost of the shipping rates will be fully on the person who could not be at AireCon 5 or who missed the agreed trade time. In other words, if the trader is not at the convention or cannot meet up, then they will pay for shipping. If the receiver cannot get to AireCon 5 or cannot meet up, they pay the shipping. If you both miss it, shipping will be split.
6. SWEETENERS.
Sweeteners are required to be listed using the GAMEID formatting (Example: Coloretto; to do this: [ G A M E I D = XXXX ] minus the spaces). To find the Game ID simply search for the game and at the right hand side of the games page will be listed the Game ID. For example, Coloretto's Game ID is 5782. If you don't use this format your sweeteners won't show up in the OLWLG properly.
Do NOT include links to other game's BGG page in your entry unless you are actually including them as a sweetener. If you include a link to a game in your description you will be required to ship that game.
7. NON-GAME RELATED ENTRIES.
Non-game entries must be added as "Outside the Scope of BGG" (game id 23953), "Miscellaneous Game Accessory" (game id 5985) or "Miscellaneous Game Merchandise" (game id 22104) and must include the +altname+ brief description -altname- format in the description of your item.
If you are offering an expansion for which there is no entry in BGG (for instance expansion cards handed out at Essen) and NOT the base game, please use "Miscellaneous Game Accessory" to help avoid confusion.
Also please specify how monetary transactions will be made (e.g. cheque, Paypal, etc).
9. MONEY AND GEEKGOLD ARBITRAGE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
In other words, trying to trade your 20GBP for someone else's 30GBP is prohibited. If such a "trade" shows up in the trade loops, the list will be edited removing all of the offender's items from the maths trade.
10. CASH VALUE TRADES
Traders accepting cash value trades must pay the BGG commission fees for a sale, so this must go through the BGG marketplace. The easiest way to do this is for the person receiving the payment to create a Geek Market listing (Miscellaneous Game Accessory is a good default) and have someone (like the person sending the cash) buy it.
11. DO NOT DELETE ITEMS.
Please do NOT delete any items once added to the list as this can cause major complications when running the trade. If you decide not to trade an item, edit its description to say so and/or submit a blank want list for that item. Please drop me a geekmail if you are unsure what to do or you have done this in error.
12. PLEASE RESPOND TO COMMENTS.
You are expected to periodically check during the item submission period, and preferably during the want list submission period, to see if anyone has commented on your entries. People often ask questions of items - most commonly because you have forgotten to state a version, language etc. - and you should check in to address such questions in a timely manner should they arise, so that everyone then has the correct information available.
This is a very easy thing to do. Just click on "My Geek", then "Contributions" and finally on "GeekList Items". You will then be able to see your items without having to find them in the trade GeekList along with any comments that people have made.
Alternatively you may choose to subscribe to an item when you post it. This will keep you informed of any further comments.
You will only need to go back to the trade GeekList to make adjustments or answer questions if there were any.
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.
Submission Format
All posted items should have the following format so it is clear what is being traded:
Condition: This should be described as accurately as possible. If games are not in shrink, please inventory them to ensure all pieces are present or list out which ones are missing. Do not assume all pieces are there!
Language: Language of the item / language independence of components.
Edition/Publisher: The edition and/or publisher of the item.
Comments: Any misc. comments about the item.
Attending: Which days Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday you will be attending the convention. (So traders can coordinate a meeting.)
