After an enforced absence, we're back at the Sovereigns! First game on the table was the lovely tile-collecting auction game Isle of Skye. Wendy romped to victory with two ship scrolls and lots of ships, beating rob, Simon, Paul and Andy P.
Elegant and streamlined, Electropolis is a tile-laying game with a simple but tricksy player-order conundrum: go early for few tiles, or choose later and get more. The aim is to generate electricity but not pollution - I did quite well at the first, less so the second with my coal-fired power stations. Simon 96, Jason 93, David 78, me 68. My losing board in full:
I'm enjoying this condensed worker-placement card-game version of the fuller board game Bruxelles 1893, which I haven't played but am very keen to do so based on this. Rob and Wendy drew for first place v Andy.
