Painted Miniatures Contest for February 2009 *WIN GEEK GOLD!*
You're invited to compete in Turtleback's first monthly game miniature painting contest!
Week after week I see terrific hand painted game miniatures. They are very inspiring to me and I would like to hold a contest for the best of the best. If this catches on I look forward to holding a contest monthly.
This contest is simple:
1)Add the game of the miniature you painted as an item to this list.
2)Add the picture of your painted miniature in the comment section for that game.
(use the format [imageid=xxxxxmedium] where xxxxx is the id of the picture)
That way people will be able to better judge your work. Medium should be sufficient please do not use large.
3)Feel free to share any special techniques used in the painting of the miniature.
1)The image you submit must be from February 2009.
2)You are the artist. Do not submit miniatures that have been painted by someone else.
3)One entry per person.
The number of thumbs item entries receive determine the winner. Vote for as many entries as you want. In case of a tie the prize will be split.
The prizes here are somewhat modest as this is from my own personal supply of Geek Gold. I will award:
First place: 20
Second place: 10
Third place: 5
Judging at the end of the month.
Tips to this geeklist will help support future contests.
Please give this geeklist a thumb to help get it to the front page. The more contestants the better!
Also, be sure to click on the image and give thumbs to the miniatures' image you like the best!
And don't forget to click on the images you like and give the actual images thumbs up as well!
The images will be arranged alphabetically by the name of the game entry.
A tip of the hat to:
for inspiring me to create this contest.
I'll start us off. Don't worry I have no chance of winning.
