Restrictions, Policy, Official Rules
Not much different from last year. I'll try to punch it up.This trade is open only to attendees of BGG.Con 2009. If something happens and you can't make it, it's still on you to trade that game. Find a proxy, submit a blank want list for your items, buy 'em a new game, or eat the shipping costs.
I do not plan to restrict duplicates in any way. One man's thrift is another man's trade fodder; but I do ask you to be reasonable, since I've got to answer questions about duplicate protection.
You can list as many games as you want. Again, be reasonable since people got to scroll through the list. You are still responsible to bring all of your successful trades to Dallas. Check with your airline for luggage and weight restrictions since it's really starting to suck. It should go without saying that we expect you to honestly and accurately list the condition of your items. Play nice and be considerate to others.
Special cases on what you can list:
No cash. Give your money to the vendors. Please, no open bribes.
No Gift Certificates. Against the spirit of this trade.
No Geekgold, unless as a sweetener: No more than 100
per. Don't make me moderate.
RPGs of all kinds: It's a brave new Geekdo. RPGs are welcomed, encouraged, and hoped-for.
Unpublished Prototype: Always welcome and actively encouraged. Think of it as a free blind playtest.
Outside the Scope of BGG: I'm still on the fence and selfishly don't want to look at tons of non-game stuff; but this is a no-shipping trade. You can list non-game items (DVDs, clothing, whatever), but you can only list one non-game item for every three real games you list.
No garbage. To clarify: I know that we all have differing values and beliefs, and that we are all beautiful and unique snowflakes. But please don't list actual worthless things or badly damaged games. Be kind to your moderator's typing fingers. If you've got crap, try and give it away elswhere.
I will use the most recent version of TradeMaximizer unless someone invents a better way of doing things between now and then.
The use of JeffyJeff's Online Wantlist Generator is required to participate in the trade this year.
My wantlists will be public. So will yours.
Do not delete anything you add to this list. It is a hassle and headache for pretty much everyone- just change the item to indicate that it is no longer available for trade or and submit a blank wantlist.
If you like, give me your cell phone number along with your wantlist. I promise not to abuse your trust.
I will clarify and make changes as needed. Thanks for your participation and good luck!
