"Dear Games Workshop..." - A Geekgold Contest with a Serious Undertone.

With the recent news of BGG receiving a broad "Cease and Desist" letter asking all GW related files to be removed from the databases for their games, Many of us have taken the time and energy to send off a letter to Games Workshop to express our disappointment, frustration, and even anger at the short-sightedness of one of the largest gaming companies out there.
I was motivated to write my own letter after reading Todd Pytel's fantastic letter to Games Workshop in the GW - One Step Forward, Two Steps Back...File Removal thread - which any of you angered by this should read.
I've since seen other people post their letters in various threads and I thought that it might be more of a motivation to others to collect them all in one place. I also thought it might be fun to throw in a few GEEK GOLD tothe best onesEVERY ONE that gets added. Don't let the GEEK GOLD your only motivation however, speak on how you feel regarding this decision by GW.
Todd has also agreed to supply us with a generic letter for those of you who don't have the time or the inclination to sit down and write your own. I'll be adding that to this list as soon as I receive it from him.
So get some inspiration from your fellow geeks, write your own letter, use our generic one and thumb those letters that you really felt got their point across. I will award GEEK GOLD to the letters that recieve the most thumbs (as well as any others I like!).
Please feel free to donateto this list to allow more
to be handed out.
I would suggest that your letters be professional and courteous and not filled with hate and emotion as they will tend to be dismissed more easily then. This doesn't mean you can't let them know exactly how you feel, but doing so in a professional manner will have much more impact than a long rant. This is YOUR letter containing your feelings however and you all must respond in the way you feel is best.
After you write your letter you can send it to all of the following email addresses:
(if there are other email addresses that should be listed please post them)
legal@games-workshop.co.uk
orders@games-workshop.co.uk
custserv@games-workshop.com
