We made it through a week of nominations and a week and a half of voting and the results are in... after nearly 600 overall votes... the Ten Most Anticipated Wargames of 2010.

In a departure from the top 5 in the subcategories this one will be a top 10 list.

Not only was the Wargames category one of the most heavily voted categories, it had the most nominations by far.

There were a few surprises though. I was surprised at the poor showing of Martin Wallace's Treefrog 2010 game about the French & Indian Wars given the top 4 position of his upcoming Gettysburg. Perhaps not enough information has gotten out about the former yet, or more realistically this will be a 2011 release following the pattern of Waterloo and Gettysburg.

I was also a bit surprised about the lack of votes for of FFG's Battles of Napoleon: The Eagle and the Lion. Perhaps many have given up hope of it actually arriving in 2010.
