This meet saw several new people joining a very small group of gamers. From memory, there was only ever two games going at once. However, everyone who was there seemed to have a good time.

I played a game of this with Richard, Andrew (his first time), and sort of Tim. You take the role of a Viking Tribe, trading with, pillaging and settling various places. I took over from Tim after a couple of turns as he had to leave. Success in some tasks is determined by how many Vikings (=how many dice) you were willing to commit/risk.

It turned out that I did lots of raiding, Richard did lots of settling and Andrew did lots of trading. When the game drew to a close, Richard ended up winning on 225, with Andrew on 180 and I on 170. I blame Tim for the bad start

This is a fun game which is not too difficult to learn.

Some new people came along and Andrew, and later Tim, taught them, Hong and Jeremy. Having played this before, I helped set things up and importantly, dealt out the loyalty/traitor cards. I looked at the remaining card and without telling them, knew there was a traitor amongst them! angry Hehe. Judging from the sounds coming from there, everyone seemed to have fun.

The Shadows Over Camelot game started during the Fire and Axe game. While Shadows was being set up, Richard and I played a quick two player game of Sorry! Sliders. I managed to slid my tokens/pieces/things to victory.

Richard and I learnt our first game of this with Andrew and Tim, Andrew constantly reminding Tim of their first game with a little, itty, tiny rule missing cool

This games involves building ships to score points, with more points based on what special contracts you hold and what spaces your ship eventually moves overs. Andrew set up what was effectively a production engine to win with 90 points, with Richard on 80, me on 65 and Tim on 63.

There are a lot of things to consider in this game, especially during your move, with small pieces to move. I wasn't a great fan on the money, but can live with it.

Jason brought this game and taught it to Hong, Richard, Tim, Andrew and me. This card game plays similiarly to Dominion, so those who don't like that game probably won't like this one. You take the role of adventures trying to kill monsters in a dungeon to gain victory points through buying items and upgrading heroes. Like Dominion, deck building is important to generate enough money in a turn and to draw enough heroes and items to defeat monsters during a turn.

Richard, Tim, Jason and Andrew played the first game with the starter deck. Hong and I came in for Andrew in the second game as we decided to randomise the heroes and items available. The second game saw Hong winning with 25, with Richard (24) and Tim (23) close behind. Jason safely locked up fourth with 17, with my pathetic bunch of heroes only managing 9.

The third game saw much more difficult monsters, with Richard finally prevailing with 21 over Tim (20), followed Jason on 15, me on 5 and Hong with 2.

I probably prefer this Dominion becuase of this game's fantasy theme.

When the six Camelot adventurers had finished, I joined them and a quick scan of games for seven players ended with this one.

My horse won the race with a barnstorming finish (ending with a card so a little anti-climactic), but I didn't bet as much as other wild punters so I finished second overall.
