Halesowen Boardgamers want to play wishlist
Welcome to Halesowen Boardgamers want to play wishlist. This geeklist provides an opportunity to gauge and drum up support for the games you want to see played at the club.Recommend
Add a game you want to play to the list with the following information in the suggested format:
# of players:
- Best with #
- Recommended with #
Playing time: (Realistic playing time in your opinion).
[Optional sales pitch, including the owner of the game if it is not you].
(I know some of this information is freely available on BGG – but adding it allows for quicker viewing and for you to add your opinion).
If you want to play any of the games then thumb them*. If the # of thumbs >= the minimum number of players, then it stands a good chance of being played sometime.
Once a game has been played it can be deleted from the list and then re-added to garner support for re-plays if you so wish.
This list doesn't preclude anyone from just bringing any game along. Bring along your copy of club favourites such as San Juan, World without End etc or your shiny new release game by all means.
This list doesn't decide what we play, club members decide on the night by consensus. This list is purely designed to drum up interest in games that you want to see played at the club, and possibly save you the effort of hauling a game back and forth every week which no-one really wants to play.
PS The list may also be useful when you're considering buying a game. Perhaps potentially saving your money if it dissuades from buying a game that may get limited table-time.
PPS It's probably best you don't add all the games you want to play on this list - it'd get swamped and the list would lose it's value. I'd advise drip-feeding games to the list.
* Thumbing your own games is recommended. Non club-members can unfortunately thumb items; bear this in mind when assessing demand.
