ALL ABOARD! Train of Thought geeklist game experiment
- Seth JaffeeUnited States
My friend Gil posted a play-by-forum thread of his new game Prolix, which is a really cool word game. That thread seems to be going very well, and I've been meaning to do the same thing for Tasty Minstrel's upcoming Train of Thought. I'm not sure if this format will work very well, but maybe it'll give you a feel for how the game works. Here's how it'll work:Recommend
I'll post a geeklist entry with a starting clue. You come up with a 1-word response comment to that entry. If none of the responses is the Destination word, then I'll post another 3-word clue using one of those responses. If you guess the correct Destination word, you get a point! We can say for this format that only the first correct answer gets a point, and allow for "ties" via simultaneous posting (verifiable by timestamp on posts).
In real life each player will have 2 minutes to get people to guess as many clues as they can. This geeklist will just be a warm-up and we'll see how it goes. I imagine a realistic game could be played by getting a set of players in the beginning, and each takes a turn with something like 10 Destination words, and you see how many points people get guessing (the Conductor will get 10 points, obviously). Once each player has been the Conductor, you can count up your score.
Let's give it a shot, shall we?
