[RESULTS] Most Anticipated Games of 2011 - HISTORICAL & POLITICAL
-
Last year we had enough nominations to have separate POLITICAL and HISTORICAL categories, namely because of titles released last year like Campaign Manager 2008, Founding Fathers and The Republic of Rome. However, this year there weren't sufficient nominations in the POLITICAL category to maintain it by itself. Thus, we ended up with a combined HISTORICAL and POLITICAL category.
Most of the historical entries are not historical simulations per-se, but rather have some thematic reference to a particular historical period. I wish we had sufficient entries to break down the periods further into something like ancient, medieval, renaissance and modern, but alas, that would have resulted in categories without much competition.
Two entries I'm particularly looking forward to that didn't make the list are The Castles of Burgundy and the as of yet unnamed Wallenstein expansion.
Without further ado here are the 10 Most Anticipated Historical & Political Games of 2011 as determined in this most unofficial, informal and unscientific experiment.
