After a 3 week nomination period, and a 2 week voting period the results are in.




This year's list of most anticipated expansions has shadows of last year's list:

Cosmic Encounter Expansion

But, perhaps year-after-year anticipation of a game's expansions is one of the highest tributes a base game can receive, indicating the strong following it has developed.

Although Dominion: Cornucopia ran away with the voting for the top spot, a mere 2 votes each separated 2nd place from 3rd, and 4th place from 5th. Additionally, places 11-16 were separated by only 10 votes.

One hopes that the interest shown in Empires: Builder Expansion will encourage Glenn Drover to get this project back on track.

Several of my most anticipated not making the list include the unnamed Wallenstein expansion, The Red Dragon Inn 3 (a fantastic game with the right group), and Samarkand: Family Connection (one of my wife's favorite games).

And, without further ado here are the 10 Most Anticipated Game Expansions of 2011 as determined in this most unofficial, informal and unscientific experiment.
