Looks like I'm the only one on the geek that has rated this one. It's a really cool set of mini rules and you can use your old plastic cowboys and "native americans". What other game can you have the disadvantage of a "walking with a limp", but have an advantage of "running fast"? This game rocks!
What’s been missing in every wild-west shootout game you’ve ever played? That’s right: you don’t get to point guns at one another. Well, now you can!
Stetsons & Sixguns is a fast-paced card game played over 8 rounds. Channelling iconic characters from classic Western adventures, 2-8 players play Action Cards and point toy guns at one another as they compete to become the most notorious gunslinger in town.
Am not sure why this gem of a sandbox game hasn't made the list yet. But if you're looking for a game of the classic American Old Western, Red Dead Redemption, and all that, then Spurs is the game!
It features a very fun, unique shoot-out mechanism where both opponents draw their bullets from a bag and slam them down on the table. It's truly a test of speed. First one to match the type of weapon they're using wins! (Plus get the wooden bullets expansion)!
Plus there's bank robbing, escorting stage coaches, fighting outlaws, hunting animals and selling their pelts, mining for gold, hunting outlaws for their bounty, playing saloon games, etc, etc. There's also two mini games for cattle rustling and horse breaking. And of course, all the above is done with an element of danger and a bit of risk!
Spurs... the game where you do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Just make sure that your opponents don't become more famous than you in the process!
Also note that Spurs was designed by same designer who did: Police Precinct
In Longhorn, the players assume the roles of two particularly feared outlaws: Eagle Perkins and Jessie Artist Byrd. The aim of the game is simple: to steal cattle (and a few gold nuggets, if possible) to see who can amass the most money by the end of the game — or who can get his opponent arrested by the sheriff!
In Desperados, players are card sharpers, highwaymen or bank robbers who want to "earn" what they need to live out the rest of their lives in comfort. Well, most players fall into that category, but one takes the role of marshal and tries to keep the other players honest.
