Okay, now *this* time, I think I would not be incorrect in saying that attendance was down, for no apparent reason that I can think of. Where was everybody?

Oh, a warning to all, as a stirling continuation of their latest service to humankind, the cafe will no longer be opening on the weekends. Bah, thanks guys, could've done with an espresso partway through that game of Mystery Express or Mystery Train orwhatevertheheckit's called.

Thank you to all attendees and organisers, and thank you for my 7 Wonders, I look forward to playing that with you all soon.

Apologies to Warren, never did get that game of El Grande going, and Tim, not getting to On the Underground, either!

I had a play of this on Friday night with Matt and co, and I really enjoyed it.

For a 'simple' roll and move game it has a lot of Euro-isition potential. Rob spent a very nostalgic 30 minutes of fun with me putting it together, before people arrived, and then we taught it to Brad and Stephen.

My little red Theseus beat the other guys, despite having been severely chewed on by the Legotaur.

We had another game of it after our heavier games - with Elaine, who won.

Rob was Venice and I was Genoa - we taught this to Brad the Valencian and Stephen the Turk. Sue came to watch when we were about halfway as during the final stages, all ships were abruptly sank that were going to do me any good...just as it should be.

You see, the Valencians really, really needed those spices I was carrying. It was just my misfortune that I happened to have my only Gems on that ship. Heck, I would've GIVEN him the spice!

This game should go really peacefully until the last couple of turns where it turns into blocking and bloody fracas. This is what happened. It really does no one any good fighting in the first turn. I'm very pleased with the way it went despite being stomped and certainly would be happy to play this again with these guys. Played it just as it should be played.

A pretty intense game!

Well done Rob for filling his home warehouse, but Brad took the game away with some excellent takeovers of my territory. Dammit.

As Sue had been waiting so patiently we offered her first choice of games, and she chose this.

We soon had a full compliment of players but unfortunately were unable to play a full game as some of the players had to leave halfway through.

We aborted the game, Elaine won on discoveries so far, most people had 2 elements right, but Elaine had 3. I can only conclude that we would've had the whole mystery well solved by teatime. :-)

Boring dungeon crawl which Warren gracious taught Matt, Elaine, Rowland, Graeme and I.

Game started of with the group heading to the teleport room before Elaine created a nice circuit for coin collection. Unfortunately a few of us split off and incurred the wrath of the Dragon / Drakon (me included!) before a magical harp disrupted the coin circuit. After the Dragon was left in the corner, nothing happened to him and the group split off again until somebody finally got the 10 value of treasure we needed to end this game.

Matt won and I vowed to never play this game again

Not a bad filler, but not a good one either. Basically you're trying to get all of your "prisoners" to the boat first via a secret tunnel which oddly enough is littered with pirate flags, used bottles, guns, hats, swords and keys. Warren got the early lead by getting the first person onto the boat whilst my men stayed around the front of the tunnel collecting cards. Meanwhile both Ernest and Graeme made inroads towards the centre of the tunnel at the expense of a few prisoners left at the back whilst Rowland ran straight for the exit with a few too. Eventually my strategy of gaining more cards paid off and all of my men jumped off onto the escape boat first.

Not for me, but a filler that I would play if everyone else wanted too.

Rowland, Warren, Ernest, Roger, Graeme and I pitted our mettle in the Eastern USA as train barrons. Graeme and I were very unhappy when Ernest rudely interrupted our grand expansion plans in the mid-east coast whilst Roger got to an early lead delivering to Louisville. Warren entered a debt trap and was issuing more shares just to pay his dividends. Meanwhile Rowland built up the NE corridor and paved a way through the mountains and eventually connected all the way to California! (Western Link) Meanwhile, us 'mortals' were trying desparately to deliver anything as empty cities flourished. In the end, it was a tie between Rowland and Roger/Graeme (??) with Rowland winning due to more links

A good game but I always get a few rules confused as I'm used to Steam which I believe is a slightly superior game

A game with Kylie and Dean which was tight on scoring. I got lucky in the last round and picked up two green beans off the deck which I was collecting giving me 4 coins from one harvest to best Dean by one coin in the end with Kylie 4 behind Dean.

Always a good game

Subcontracted out my teaching game to Jason and we taught Joff, Rowland and a new visitor whose name eludes me.

Lucky Truck Jason pulled off a win with his last delivery of the game.

After a heavy committee meeting, Ernest suggested a lighter fare by way of this.

Tim, Ernest and I taught Roger Eric well enough for him to tie for the victory, despite Tim's war cry of "Kill the doc-tor kill the doc-tor".

Played this game with Matt, Jeremy, Hardassh, Kylie. None of us have played this area control game before. It is a fun little game with some very interesting mechanics, and fairly well balanced and most of the games was fairly close.

The only thing is by the end it felt a bit repetitive and long and if shorten I would really like this game a lot more.

Being Hadassa'a favourite game at the moment, and also a game I love, we started setting up then were joined by Jason, who was very experienced with the game, and Shaun a newbie. Shaun ended up doing very well for a newbie, with his ships mostly surviving. Jason unsurprisingly won but I came in not too far behind followed by Hadassa.

Can't recall anything that happened in this game (due to the Chaos) but had a good time wreaking my own kind of evil corruption, as did the others. Looking forward to the expansion.

Andrew had a limited time to get this to the table for Tyrone and me to enjoy, and I had fun questing even though we didn't finish (lucky for Andrew (Sauron) as we'd almost fulfilled our secret objective). Look forward to getting a full game of this soon.

I played a 5 player game of this, in part teaching this. Hong had a one-race-the-whole-game strategy, continually totally retreating and entering the board from the different area; Mark tried to magic his way with the sorcerers.

The final result was:
Julia-77
Ernest-69
Hong-64
Chad-60
Mark-56
