Description Edit | History

A group of Gamers who meet on the North side of Sydney.

The focus is on board games, but at least some of us are up for anything so if you have a suggestion, lets hear it.

We meet on the every Tuesday in Chatswood and anyone with an open mind is welcome.

We publicise more widely outside BGG via a Meetup page

We have a list of games played so far this year on our 2017 Games Played Geeklist

Or you can look at the games we played in our 2016 Games played Geeklist.

More Information Edit | History

Next session: Every Tuesday.
Time: 7:00pm
(earlier if you arrange it - or are buying food)
Venue: Chatswood Club - 11 Help Street, Chatswood NSW 2067

We meet at The Chatswood Club on Tuesdays. Numbers are variable but are most commonly in the high teens. People begin arriving at ~6pm, with small games and general chat often filling the time until our official start near 7pm. They usually kick us out somewhere between 10:00 and 10:15.

Westfield's has free parking after 6pm. There is also some street parking at that time of night, especially around the Chatswood club. Lots of street spots are 1 hour ticket parking until 6pm, or no-parking until 6:30, so it suits a 6pm-7pm arrival very well.

Format: Currently those for whom it is convenient bring a couple of games and we choose from them on the night. A portion of players pre-arrange games via the forums, but mostly we break up into groups based on arrival times and level of interest in one game or another.

For people who haven't been to a gaming group before, be advised we play a lot of modern European style games, rather than older America-style parlor games. And we tend to play a wide variety, so expect to be playing something you have never seen before (indeed even experienced boardgamers should expect to see a lot of new games).

There is NO COST or minimum spend for attending, although attendees are strongly encouraged to support the venue by purchasing food/drinks, as a courtesy to the club for the free use of their facilities.

This group is always open to new members. You do not have to join anything or post on the boards, you can just show up on the night and join a game.

If you want to join the 'in-crowd', you can even purchase our Northside Gamers Guild microbadge mb to proudly display on your profile.
