Play-by-Mail
|
This game was played solely as a Play-by-Mail (PBM) game, where participants took turns by postal mail and, later, received their turn results. Some PBM games had no published components; others offered a published player's manual or introductory setting guide, etc. Salient details may be noted here in the description - especially for games with no published component.

User summary:
Sojourn was a fantasy, play-by-mail game written by Blake Ferris and offered by his company "Mind Game". It was described as using "computer assisted" moderation and being set in the world of Myrra. Players could have up to five characters. Characters were defined, in part, by class (examples include Healer, Bard, Alchemist, and Conjurer). Players were allowed to create their own spells. Turns were not time-restricted, so players could submit turns as often as they desired.
Sojourn ran from (at least) 1982 - 1983. A monthly campaign newsletter also was provided to players.
