Welcome to SHIVER, a roleplaying game all about storytelling in worlds of horror and mystery. In SHIVER some players will take on the role of a classic Archetype, exploring the story as it unfolds. Whether that be escaping the clutches of a relentless killer as a group of hapless teens, monster hunters delving into ancient crypts, or exploring an alien planet with hungry inhabitants, the choice is up to you.

This quick-start guide will provide you with all the information you need to pick a character Archetype that’s right for you and provide a brief overview of how to play the game. Some rules and the process of character creation have been condensed to get you playing quickly.
