Since I hail from the boonies I'm downright pleased to be traveling to this here BIG city... but I must inquire from my couzins to the SE where be the gaming stores thereabouts?

I'm not really looking for a Barnes & Noble. I'm looking for a solid gaming store that carries either Euros or (dare I say it) solid Wargames.

I'll be at the Tapatio Cliffs Resort if that helps on local stores. Thank you in advance.

Game Depot in Tempe is my FLGS of choice. 480-966-4727.

They've got what you're looking for, though it'll be a slight drive south.

Welcome to the desert!

What he said. If that doesn't work most of the malls in the valley have a local chain game store called Game Daze which has a good selection of Euros but their prices aren't great.

Ditto. Game Depot is great. I have shopped there for 5 years+.
Love those guys, and they always know what I like when I come in. I have probably spent several thousand dollars there. Here are a couple other numbers...

Game Depot (Southern and McClintock, Tempe) 480-966-4727

Game Daze (in malls) 480-899-7406, 480-981-4850
(they can check the stock of their other stores by computer)

Gamemaster (these guys got the pc version of Puerto Rico for me)
1120 S. Gilbert Rd #114
Gilbert, AZ 85296
480-558-0750

Imperial Outpost (northern phx) 480-978-0467

Welcome to the city of 4 months with no rain!

Game Knights in the Metro Center mall, I- 17 and Dunlap, has a large selection of all kinds of games, including Euros, miniatures, wargames, party games and CCG's.

I'm headed to Phoenix too - April for a week long training class for work. I'll be checking out the local game stores for sure. If any game groups need an extra person, I'll be in town April 3rd - 7th. I'd also be up for a two player wargame or something. Hotels can be borning at night.

I don't live there anymore, but I just visited my parents in the Phoenix metro area this past January, and I also visited my favorite game store while I was there.

It was about 13 years ago I started frequenting the best game store in the Valley of the Sun. That store is still run by the same proprietors, who are both terrific people.

I'm talking abour The Game Depot in Tempe, of course.
