Two questions here..

Can anyone recommend any game stores in Utah? Good service, good prices, gaming space, etc? If there's anything in the southern half of the state, I'd be particularly interested in that, but anywhere in general is good to know about.

Are there any game companies in Utah? By companies, I'm meaning publishing, distributing, etc, board games, game related, etc.. I'm only aware of Blue Table Painting (which paints miniatures for wargames), but am curious as to whether there's any others based in Utah.

Thanks in advance.

Not really familiar with what might be in the Southern half of Utah, but Epic games in West Valley is probably my favorite. Lots of other people like Board Game Revolution in Orem as well, but I have never been.

As far as publishers, I know of two right off hand. Mayday Games based out of Layton and Tasty Minstrel Games (TMG) based out of Mountain Green.

I'd recommend Boardgame Revolution in Orem, but don't know anything south of Utah County.

I know sometimes posting links to other locations (even on the same site) is frowned on, but this entry has some good info:

Thanks guys (I had completely forgotten about that geeklist, thanks for that too). Boardgame revolution is pretty cool. I have found a game store in St. George that seems pretty new. Next time I go down there, I'll have to add it to the list. But so far, it seems to be the only one in the southern half of things.

I plan on checking out Dragon's Keep next time I am in Orem. I used to just go to Games People Play, but they've disappeared.

I have been to Games Night Games in Sugarhouse. Great store. I felt like they had decent prices too. Friendly customer service as well.

I'll post here when I go to Dragon's Keep and tell you what I find. Should be next week. Hopefully Tuesday.
