Duck season!

Did I...did I try to flip it too early? Because the duck doesn’t fare well at the end of this.

Yeah, I think I screwed up. Bugs is the one who changes from saying duck season to rabbit season.

Nominations are open for Triumvirate V.

Triumvirate V - Good Citizens

I hope you all enjoy youselves.

This is not an official 4G comp. I'm just doing it for fun when it dawned on me that July got missed. P.S Hoewever, the Geekgold *is* official.

It must still be private... since it doesn't exist.

So did anyone else know that dice - plain old RPG dice - go OOP? And become collector's items? I found this out a couple months ago, when a dice-loving friend saw me pull some old sets out of our dice bag.

Turns out some sets (standard set of 7 poly dice) will go for $100-400. Really rare sets have hit more than $1k on ebay. Highest I've seen was $1900. For dice. And these aren't necessarily fancy, high-end dice. These are Chessex dice, and Crystal Caste, usually purchased for $12-15 a set.

We had several rather sought-after dice. My husband liked them, but as much as he likes fancy metal (expensive) dice, so we sold some of them to upgrade. His titanium dice arrived two nights ago, and I have a couple sets of stone dice coming next week. I'm excited - they should arrive on a D&D day.

Apparently they are to die for.

Matt is already doing the official 4G thing for August, but I wanted to let you know that I'm running another kindness challenge if you'd like another way to try to win a game this month if you're willing to do a bit of extra "work" for it.

Thanks!

And as far as the microbadge is concerned, I guess it still is accurate since I went well over 500 contests without a win. I guess if a 900 contest version is created I probably should pass that one up!

Well, unless you enter another 900 contests starting now....and don't win.

Actually I'm not doing the official thing. I thought I made sure that was obvious.

I couldn't get in touch with the Steck, but just wanted to do something anyway to break the quiet. It was pure coincidence that it all start up at the end of July.

Does anyone know if their all busy with US convention season?
I only have 16 entries thus far. Last triumvirate had 45+

He's posted recently in the funny pictures thread, so he seems to be on BGG regularly.

One of the reasons I don't get around to GenCon is that I never seem to remember when it's occurring.
