Hi guys! I'm from Argentina, and work in videogames industry.
We have a small boardgames collection in the studio, and next month my partner will go to Game Developers Conference in the Moscone Center in San Francisco, so i'm planning to make him get as much games as he can

But (sadly there is always a but) he will be short on space to get to much games, so he will need to see them before buy it. So we are hoping he can go to a store to actually buy them there.

Can you recommend us some places to go, with good prices and stock?
And if you recommend some good games on small sizes, will be an awesome plus!

Thanks a lot!

Sebas

Gamescape (at Oak and Divasadero, I think) has a good stock. It's a longish walk from Moscone but is a reasonable bus ride.

Another good choice, since he'll be at Moscone, is Endgame in Oakland. It's a short trip on BART from the Powell Street station.

Endgame and Gamescape both always have games on clearance, and Endgame sells used games.

You will likely pay U.S. list price at either place. Gamescape has titles that I know have been out of stock online for some time or are out of print.

Game Kastle in San Jose, it is by the SJ airport. Games of Berkeley is right by the BART station.

There is a games and toy shop on market street only about a 10 minute walk away. I haven't been to GDC since 2011 though, so I don't remember the name.

Don't you have any more data? It would be great to get by just walking, 'cause it's my friend frist time in USA and would be easier for him.

That would be Jeffrey's Toys. They don't have a website but they are located at 685 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103. For a toy store, they have a decent selection of board games.

Gamescape is the only carrier of a variety of board games in San Francisco. There is one in the sunset, verses, that carries a very basic selection, mostly existing for competitive game, MTG, etc.

You walk into gamescape and the first and last things you'll see are boardgames.

I try to get there once a week. Their selection of LOTR:LCG is lacking, but hey, no one's perfect.

Don't forget Slide 5, Biblios, and Rattus. All (well, maybe not all but some) would fit nicely in a piece of luggage.
