Hey all,

Just wanted to let folks know that I'm planning on holding a Starcraft playtest at the Source Comics and Games in Minneapolis, MN. on this Friday starting at 6pm. I'm taking sign-ups via BGG mail, first come, first served. Please only sign-up if you can really make it.

Additionally, please note that I'm still waiting to receive confirmation on the table space I've tried to reserve, so this is still tentative. Once I hear back from the folks at the Source, I'll send out final confirmation emails to folks.

I would SO like to just fly out there for the evening and participate, but alas I don't think it's a good idea to do so.

If you happen to have a playtest in Seattle between July 3rd and 8th then I'd be all over that. Or anytime in Phoenix or Tucson AZ. Or at BGG.con.

I would like to come, but it would be cutting it close on getting up there by 6.

I get off work at 4:30, and depending on traffic it takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get there.

I live in Austin, MN.

I live in the Twin Cities, but sadly, I probably won't be able to attend. It really depends on how long it takes since the wife works a night shift on Friday and I have to tend to the little ones. Maybe I can show up for a sneak peek and take some pictures or something.

I actually could make it (I live in Golden Valley) but likely will not as

5th Wedding Anniversary > Starcraft meeple

Sounds like fun, though. I should let some friends know.

Do both! Take the wife out to dinner, then surprise her with dessert at the Source afterwards!

I sent a BGG mail this morning when I saw the post.

I live in SE Wisconsin but I will be in Minneapolis, MN this weekend for a wedding. Getting in on the playtest would be a great way to start the weekend. I am not sure which would be the best part of the weekend; the playtest or the wedding. I guess that depends on who I am talking to.

I sent a geekmail earlier this morning as well, but I'll confirm in forum that I'm available on Friday. I live in the cities and the source is a hop, skip, and bus ride away.

I would be interested in playing on Friday at 6. I have plenty of time. Quicker the notice the better. And if not, good luck with it, sounds fun.

Ok, looks like the playtest is a go. I've emailed folks who have sent me private messages wanting to participate. Other folks are welcome to come down and have a look, and perhaps even play if there's room. Please remember that the game is still in heavy playtests and may not resemble the final product, so pictures and descriptions of the prototype should not be posted to the internet, and playtesters will be under NDA. Sorry to disappoint anyone, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up for the game until it's closer to being finalized.

People,

Thanks for the fun time last night. It took me a while to catch on, but I think if we had played for a while longer, Kerrigan's Zerg would have conquered the worlds.

There was a fun group of people participating, which made for a much more pleasant experience. I only wish we could have finished more than two full rounds. Thanks for letting me play, Kevin.

I was purple. At the risk of derailing this thread, which should be cut short anyway cuz we have to keep quiet, I'm planning on coming to the Source for general eurogaming next week at around 7. I'll be bringing two other boardgamers, and some games. I've got a copy of Caylus I've only played once...

We all signed nondisclosure forms. We couldn't take pictures and we can't provide specifics concerning the game. Sorry, CapAp.

All I can say is my son and I had an enjoyable time also. Like so many others that have viewed this thread, I can not wait for Starcraft: The Board Game to arrive at my FLGS.

My son and I both had a good time and we were talking about it on the way back to the hotel and the next day (only between the 2 of us). It was a great group of players.

Thanks, Kevin for the opportunity to experience the game.
