LAND 6 is a board game for one player (a solo game) with an approximate duration of 15 minutes.

You are The Lord of the Dice, in eternal battle against The Lord of the Cubes, fighting for the world known as Land 6. To defeat him you must conquer his city with one of your armies, and you must do it... with just six dice!

Components: 6 tiles (in each tile, a central circle with a 1-6 value and 4 squares: a city, a sea, a forest and a growing field), 6 cubes, 6 dice (6D6) and 1 action dice (1D6).

Playing time: 15 minutes

State of the game: Finished.

I've played several games to Land 6 and... it works!

I need to adjust some actions before publish rules but I feel that the game can work.

INTRODUCTION

You're The Dice Lord, fighting with The Cube Lord for conquest Land 6. To win you must put a die with a specific value (this value set difficulty) in The Cube Lord's city (in tile-6).


How we play? (resume, first draft, sorry for any error)

SETUP

First we put six terrain tiles on the table. Left tile-6, right tile-1, and between them the rest of tiles (2, 3, 4 and 5) as you can see in the image. Then we put a die in city square in tile-1 (this value set difficulty too, first game try with a 6).

TURN

In your turn you can use one of your placed dice to execute an action. For this you must substract one point por this die. If die value goes to zero you must remove this die from tile.
Dice are placed in different squares: city, sea, forest, growing field. Each square gives a different action.
-City > add a new die to Land 6 on an adjacent square to the city or move a die in a square to an adjacent square. Orthogonal adjacent square in both actions, not diagonal. You must substract and aditional point for the die you move.
-Sea > reroll a die in a square.
-Forest > Fight with The Cube Lord's army
Select a cube. Throw blue dice. If you obtain a 5-6, remove these cube from tile and get an extra action. If you obtain a 4, remove these cube. With 3-2 nothing happens. With 1 you must substract an additional point for a Forest die.
-Growing Field > Add a point to some dice in play (dice on a tile? adyacent dice? all dice in the game? I'm testing!)

Then it's The Cube Lord's turn.

Throw blue die. See value.
If there is not a cube in this tile value, put a cube in it.
If there is a cube in this tile value:
-If there is dice in this tile, substract one point for each die in the tile.
-If there is not dice in this tile, substract one point for a city die that you choose.

END

Game ends if you put a die with a previously selected value on The Cube Lord's city. You win. Your score: sum values of all dice placed on cities.

You lost if all of The Cube Lord's dice are put on Land 6, or if you lost all your city dice.

Little changes (bold) in the rules thanks to the last games I've played:

-City > add a new die to an unoccupied orthogonal adjacent square to any city or move a die placed in any square to an unoccupied orthogonal adjacent square. Orthogonal adjacent square in both actions, not diagonal. You must substract and aditional point for the die you move.
-Forest > Fight with The Cube Lord's army
Select a cube. Throw blue dice. If you obtain a 5-6, remove these cube from tile and get an extra action. If you obtain a 4, remove these cube. With 3-2 nothing happens. With 1 you must substract an additional point for a Forest die.
-Growing Field > Add a point to all dice dice in play except dice placed in growing fields.

And you can use your sea dice in any moment:
-Sea > reroll any die (placed in a square, the die you have just thrown, the blue dice for The Cube Lord's army, etc.)

I'll publish rules (spanish and english) and a print&play ink friendly version (1 sheet: 6 tiles) next week.

I like the components, so I just played a couple of games.
The game seems to difficult for me. Cubes are spawning too fast, i can make it to the second city but never to the third.

You can make just one action each turn, then the cube spawns, right?

I would suggest increasing chances of killing cubes to:
1- nothing, remove additional point from the dice
2-5 hit, remove cube
6 remove cube and take additional action.

a game play through with example how can you make to the victory would be nice.

Thanks for play!

Yes, you first make an action, then deploy a cube.

Try to use sea action (that you can execute when you wish) to modify rolls.

My betatester says me that in easy mode if you try to win running (without planification) to the city of The Lord of The Cubes you lost 85% of the games, but planning your movements and advancing carefully you should win (with less or more victory points in your final score) at least 30% of the games.

In such a game this percentage seems to low for my taste. I think that easy mode should grant you victory rate of at least 60%.
What is a point of difficult mode if you can not past the easy one?

I prefer that a solo game beats me and force me to work hard in my strategy.

At first you win 30%, but when you had developed a win strategy you will win more games and then you can try with hardest levels.

I need to do this. And a video playing the game, but I don't think that I can find time!

Basic slow strategy:
-On the first city deploy two dice: one to try to use sea action and other to move to the second city.
-On the second city deploy one dice on growing field and other dice on forest.
-Don't lose city dice. When their value goes to one use growing field to increase it.
-Only fight when The Lord of The Cubes deploy four cubes.
-When there are only three cubes on play deploy a new die to go to third city. You need another growing field to try to control more cities and reach a higher score.

Basic speed strategy:
-Take cities, deploy dice and move them to The Lord of The Cubes city without use growing fields. Use only one die to sea action. Use only one die (if necessary: a cube on tile 6) on forest to fight.

I played the game a bit now. First a few turns to learn it and then a full game.

I have one doubt about the rules: Can I reroll the same die roll several times if I decrease a die on a sea space each time or can I only reroll each die roll once? I assumed that I could do multiple rerolls and won the game, but would have lost if I didn't allow myself to do so.

The game was fun and you put a lot of game into the 19 components.

I played two more games: One one easy and one on normal. In the normal difficulty game I didn’t allow myself to reroll multiple times. I won both games.

The I found out that I had missed one of the rules for the "Feed the army" action: "Increase one point all dice deployed on the board that are
not placed in field squares
."

It was the highlighted part that I missed, and missing it enabled a gamebreaking strategy.

I'll try it again another day playing this rule right .
