Hi all,

does anybody have info on what the final card size will be? By looking at the manual I'd say that auction and recipe cards are Standard USA (56mm x 87mm) and that the market cards are 70mm square (Among the Stars / Power Grid size), but I'd rather get confirmation before springing for the sleeves

Thanks and cheers!

The Auction and Recipe cards are 44 x 67mm mini cards.

The Market cards are 51 x 51mm mini square cards.

You don't need mini square sleeves. Just find a sleeve that is wide enough, and cut it down to the correct height.

I admire people with enough skill and patience to do so, but I'm not one of them.

Also, 51mm is an awkward width for a sleeve. The closest size is the Standard USA, which is noticeably wider at 56mm. (I have a bunch of Euro cards, which are 59mm wide, sleeved in Card Game size, which is 63mm, and you can certainly tell that the sleeves are the wrong size).

Does any company make opaque sleeves in the 44 x 67mm mini cards size?

Any updated thought on this now that it is out? I have no desire to "trim" down another sleeve size as I don't trust I can do that completely consistently.

I would recommend just using the Mayday Small Square Card Sleeves. That's what I'm doing. There will be some extra space, but this is the smallest sleeve in a square that I could find.

Swan does 52x52 sleeves.

Be aware that I haven't bought them. Only found them by doing a search on the internet.

I notice he put on his site that the cards are not handled much so he thought sleeves were not necessary. Has he ever tried shuffling these? I found that more than a bit difficult. I can see that ripping the sides over time, even if it only happens on setup.

I agree, though it is challenging in this case.

I can confirm that the Swan Panasia 52×52 sleeves fit very well!

My copy of the game is arriving by the end of the week. I always like to have the sleeves in home ready for new games. Most of time i bought Fantasy Flight, which is fine to the auction/market/receipts card, but seem that the only mini square out there are SwanPanasia.
I considering one of those 3 options:
1) Use SwanPanasia (I hate thin sleeves).
2) Double sleeve with SwanPanasia.
3) Use the square 70x70 of FF.

Anyone have experiences or thoughts between those 3 different options?

Swan makes Catan (54x80mm) sleeves in premium. You could get those and cut them down, but they'd be a bit wide. Part # SWN-503, listed at 55x82mm.
