I have my counters, but I don't have the Nightfall book (I checked the box and my hard drive). I think the original product description included a 16 page scenario book. There's been so much discussion that I've lost track, is this book gone forever, coming as a PDF from FMG, coming as a PDF from SJ Games, or something else?

And Kudos for SJ Games for stepping in where FMG fell down. I hope that didn't cost too much.

It has been taken over by SJG - FMG is fully out of the picture now, and the fine folks at SJG have said the Nightfall book will be forthcoming as a PDF.

Most excellent, I will await that PDF. And the music, I'm really looking forward to the music for no particular reason.

Phil,

Thank yous go out to you everyone at Steve Jackson Games for picking up this issue and handling it so well.

We appreciate it.

You're very welcome. In case it's not obvious I want to say: We at SJGames are in this for the long haul. Ogre wasn't just a single giant game, and as developments come together we will make announcements.

The 40th anniversary of the game is only two years away . . .

It may be best not to do that calendar math . . .

Well, here we are.

Another year on from when I started this thread.

There's been some talk from SJG

BUT... NOTHING

This is now three years since we were promised stuff in the Kickstarter.

I am truly disappointed over this.

Yeah, yeah, it cost SJG, they've had assorted issues, etc, etc, but THREE YEARS!

I've pretty much written this one off. If by some miracle we do get anything else, it will be a pleasant surprise. I'm done with SJG. I was a huge fan for years, but this fiasco has pretty much killed any good will I had towards them.

[snark mode on] Yep, everyone may as well write Ogre off as a failure, because what, no one got a massive box containing a fully playable game, at a decent price, and they got rooked out of what, some music? [snark mode off]

I never got the flying car I was promised in to 60's but I am still an American.

Yes, it is unfortunate that not all of the cool promises were kept and that a couple of the third party support counters and scenarios never saw the light of day. It was a bigger project any of us realized. Casualties were expectable. I, personally, recognized that getting Justin Bieber to write the Ogre Song was less likely than getting Christina Aguileria to sing it.

Note that I do not keep track of pop stars, so feel free to change celebrity names when re-posting.

We continue to work on the project. Steve has been handling various parts and will post a Kickstarter update when he has news.

So, just checking back on the old Kickstarter and I'm trying to find the following that were promised:

1) 4 Scenarios by November 2012
2) 4 Scenarios by December 2012
3) Ogre Computer Game by end 2014
4) Tom Smith music
5) The player scenarios combined with 8 other scenarios
6) Rules for engineers and vulcans
7) Ogre Expansion Set by late 2013

Maybe I've missed these, but I can't find any of these on the SJG web site.

Bumping this, because it looks like solid progress is being made on bullet points #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. 2017 will be another good year for Ogre. The plastic minis alone will be an amazing futuristic bit of loveliness, something we've dreamed about for decades.

At the moment, Ogre Sixth Edition and Ogre Reinforcements are both at print. We've seen some test shots of the plastic minis. And more is coming together.

Sorry for the dumb question. But can you remind me? Is Ogre Reinforcements something for Ogre DE too?

I know that Ogre 6th is compatible with Ogre DE with fewer components and far more portable. But I don't recall the upcoming contents of Reinforcements.

Thank you,

Reinforcements is an expansion that works with either Ogre Sixth Edition or the ODE game.
