Recently I'm playing a lot of games with just two players, even though the games themselves aren't 2-player games.

So these past few weeks my top 5 two-player games would have to be

1) Ticket to Ride:Europe
2) Magic:The Gathering
3) LOTR:Confrontation
4) Lost Cities
5) Settlers of Catan

and 6th would be Heroscape with the kids (ages 8 and 9)

I hope that helps...
Simon

In no particular order, these are games my wife and I, or my friends and I enjoy regualrly as two player games:

Battle Line
Lost Cities
Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation
Castle
Thurn and Taxis
Reef Encounter
Starfarers of Catan (with a variant here on BGG)
Elfenland (with a variant here on BGG)
Elasund
Torres
Fairy Tale
Citadels

Some of these are better than others, but these are all games I highly enjoy whether two player or otherwise.

Good luck!

Cheers!

Giles.

I also don't have a huge collection, but from what I've played:

1. LOTR: The confrontation
2. Bonaparte at Marengo
3. Battleline
4. ASL/ASLSK (would be #1 if I could only get more people to play it!)
5. War of the Ring (despite its flaws)
