http://www.dallasgames.com/

They meet in the Richardson area at a Borders books at Coit and Arapaho on Tuesdays and every other Thursday at a Half Price books at Greenville and Northwest Highway.

There is a pretty good FLGS in Valley View Mall called Game Chest, and they just opened a second location at Collin Creek Mall in Plano.

Yep. Dallas Games usuaally has 20+ people on the Tues nights at Borders. Usually 6 to 10 at Hlaf Price Books. And a dozen or so at the Madness sessions on Sat. nights.

As was mentioned:

The largest group: www.dallasgames.com. Sign up for the mailing list. They meet a number of places throughout the week.

Best Store: Gamechest. Lots of games - high prices though.

The Dallas Gamers moved and now meet on Tuesdays at the Cafe Brazil.
This is along Hwy 75 (Central Expressway) just North of Campbell Rd
in Richardson (on the south-bound side).

The Game Chest in Collin Creek closed last fall.
Check out Madness Comics in Plano at Custer and Parker.
Around Christmas they had a "buy 2 get 1 free" sale.

Well, I was deeply saddened when I read Game Chest in Collin Creek Mall had closed, though there prices are rather high. I was happy to hear of Madness Games and Comics in Plano before I put in a call to find out a price for a game I wished to purchase if the price was right. I was told they couldn't give me a price over the phone. Ordinarily this would be ok, but I have no vehicle and it would require me to ride over three hours on a bus and train to get there, as well as over three hours back in 100 degree heat. Needless to say, I will NOT be giving them my business. Hello Amazon!

Anyone familiar with 'Big World Comics' on Beltline Rd in Carrollton? Do they have a group that meets? I've been told they sell some board games.

Yes they sell some boardgames, but they do not have the best selection. It's used games or unsold oldies. They are primarily a FOW, 40K, and comic store. I have got some good finds there though.

Odd that we have the exact opposite opinion on this.
Game chest is the most customer unfriendly store in the DFW area, and maybe Madness is the best imho. Also I had my truck detailed last month and walked 45 minutes both ways in the 100 degree heat just to be at Madness while I waited. True story.

The woman that works there (game chest) i found to be very helpful. The main guy who works there I think just comes off as unfriendly. Sad thing for the main person you see in the store but true. That is at least my opinion.
