We got an instructional video done this week for Reef Encounter. It can be found under our Current Games Section of www.BookShelfGames.com The video is 35Mins long and 155Mbs.

There are a few example rounds at the end of the video that I think will help people get started with this game.

As always please send any questions comments and rule corrections to us.

Enjoy.

Re: BookShelf Games 6 - Video Review fro Reef Encounter
I just like to say that we don't really use any written scripts when we are filming. So our Shatner-like speech derives from us trying to remember the rules and items we are explaining (with the rulebook as reference at most.), it being especially prominent on more complicated games like this one.
Sincere apology to anyone that find it hard to follow our audio explanation.

much applause in the lecture-room, How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick; Till rising and gliding out, I wander’d off by myself, In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time, Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars. W.W.

Nice work!

There were three errors in the rules made in this instructional video.

(I only have the Z-Man edition, so this may be different for the original version.)

1) In Action 10, when replacing polyp tiles, you add one random polyp tile to each of the 5 areas that does not already have three tiles. This includes the space that you just collected from.

2) You cannot place polyp tiles in the deeper water spots in the middle of the coral reef boards.

3) The Bonus polyp tiles are replenished as they are used.
