Hi.

Im going to Budapest on the last few days of April and I'm wondering if anyone out there can help me with adresses to some game-stores.

I'm mostley interested in "A Game of Thrones" CCG even if they are in Hungarian and wargames (GMT-style) in english, 7 Ages and stuff like that.

Any help appriciated.

The best Hungarian online shop is this:

www.compaya.hu

They offer the biggest selection at the lowest prices in Hungary and are very reliable. In your case the only problem could be is that they don't have a FLGS but either deliver to an address or you can buy directly from the owner by making an appointment. If you will be able to book one then this would be my definite recommendation.

And how lucky! They have the Hungarian version of AGot CCG on sale now!
Also, the owner speaks excellent English and is a registered user here under the name of "Paya".

If you are lucky, you might be able to attend one of the big gaming events that are organised regularly.

Yep, and I also recommend you Paya! Good prices, good service.

Hello,

I can help you. I have Hungarian and English AGOT CCG too.
We don't have too much wargames (Battle of Bulge, FFG style wargames rather).

You can check my stock here: http://www.compaya.hu/jatek.php?csakraktar=1
If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask. You can find me on msn messenger, skype, icq, feel free to ask!

Usually I buy at Compaya, too, but I feel obliged to mention some other game shops here:

other online vendors:
www.swsbooks.hu
www.gemklub.hu

shops:
Szellemlovas
www.szellemlovas.hu (mostly euros, they have CCGs, but not aGoT, I think, and they hold gaming days regularly)
Budapest, VI. disctrict, Szondi utca (street) 18/a

Dungeon
www.dungeon.hu (for the aGoT CCG - just Hungarian)
Budapest, VII. district, Erzsébet körút (road) 37.

Sárkánytűz
www.sarkanytuz.hu (shop of the aGoT CCG publisher - just Hungarian cards)
Budapest, IX. district, Ferenc körút (road) 40.

(I don't think there is a decent wargame-stock anywhere in Hungary.)

There is a dedicated wargamer group here, they play at the meetings of the Hungarian Boardgamer Society in the weekends (see at www.tarsasjatekos.hu), and on Wednesdays in the Szellemlovas, I think.

The Hungarian aGoT players in Budapest usually play on Thursdays in the Dungeon (from 5 to 1/2 9), and occasionally at the above mentioned meetings (in that case mostly the ones with the English cards).

I'm an aGoT player too, so feel free to ask if you have a question.

Thanks Guys!

I think I'll have a look at those stores. Since the reason my visit in Hungary is for me and my girlfriend to get engaged to be married, I doub't that I'll have time (Girlfriend will not allow) to play anything.

Happy gaming, and remember - "Winter is coming"

...or maybe not.

Getting engaged is more important than playing some silly cards.
Good luck, man, and welcome to Hungary!

As this thread is over 2 years old now I would like to highlight that in the mean time Gemklub (www.gemklub.hu) became one of Hungary's leading game shops with a large selection of games on stock. Strongly recommended.

Also, they have regular "gaming nights" on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm.

Address: 1092 Budapest, Ráday u. 30/b.
