Hi Breno,

Welcome to BoardGameGeek!

Here's a few game shops in London.

Playin' Games is an excellent shop, and is situated fairly centrally, quite close to Tottenham Court Road underground station.

The address and telephone number are:-

33 Museum Street
London
WC1A 1LH
020 7323 3080

It used to have a website, but this seems to have disappeared. They are, however, very well stocked with most eurogames and wargames situated in the basement. If you telephone them, they are generally happy to confirm what they have in stock and should be able to hold games for you until your friend arrives to pick them up.

The following link gives a map of their location:-

Orcs Nest is also situated very centrally, within walking distance of Leicester Square underground station. The following website has details of the address, telephone number and catalogue:-

Leisure Games is yet another great games shop. It is not central, however, and would probably only be worth going to if your friend was staying in North London. The following website gives address, travel directions and catalogue:-

And So It Begins is yet another game shop. It is not centrally located, and would probably only be worth going to if your friend is based in West London. Again, directions, telephone and catalogue are available at the following website:-

Anyway, I hope this is of help to you.

Best wishes.

Re: Could you recommend me some good boardgame stores in Lon
Any good game stores in Paris that might carry games not available here in the US? DD is going to London for a summer study abroad, but she will also be in Paris for three days. I'm sure she wouldn't mind picking up a few games for us. Ha ha.

I went out there in search of experience, to taste and to touch and to feel as much, as a man can before he repents...

I was in Paris just yesterday and found a Descartes store on Rue Des Ecoles, near Boulevard Saint Germain. 52 Rue des Ecoles if I remember correctly.

The store is clean and the clerk I dealt with spoke enough English to converse with me and was really knowedgable. I was able to pick up some games I couldn't readily find in Canada. Great store and highly recommended.

I also visited Playin' Games and it too was a good store, though I didn't buy anything due to the prices, which weren't bad until the conversion to Canadian dollars.
