The Compleat Strategist!

It's on the north side of 33rd St. between 5th Ave and Madison Ave. A half block from the Empire State Building.

Granted, an online order will save you money and is the smarter way to buy games.

But, if you just want to browse and be surrounded by tons of great games, nothing beats stopping in at The Compleat Strategist. And if you spot a relatively inexpensive game, where the savings from ordering it online don't add up to too much, nothing beats picking it up right then and there.

Two decent board game stores that I know of in NYC.

Board game stores:

Neutral Ground
http://neutralground.com/
122 West 26th Street, 4th Floor
212-633-1288

Compleat Strategist
http://www.thecompleatstrategist.com/
11 East 33rd Street
212-685-3880

Neutral Ground is larger, but has a smaller selection of eurogames I think, and a larger focus on CCGs. Compleat Strategist is significantly smaller, but I think has a slightly larger selection of eurogames, and a focus more on RPGs and minis. They are both relatively similar and both worth checking out, these are just my perceptions.

It's funny... I was there last november and I recall lots of wargames! Probably one only sees what one's looking for!

Thanks everyone. I made it over to The Complete Stratagist. And they are complete. They have euro games and war games, roll playing, miniatures. The store is stacked to the ceiling with games. Donw in the basement they have a playing area. It was Thursday when I went, that is Warhammer night. Lots of people there with all their beautiful miniatures. Very nice store. Thanks for the feedback. Glad I stopped by.
