I'm going to be in the LA area for business and will have Saturday to kill. Are there any good gaming stores to hang out and get some gaming in?

Game Empire is a must-visit and you can ALWAYS find people playing SOMETHING there.

This Saturday (among other events) there will be an Axis & Allies: War At Sea event there starting at 11am!

It's on the outskirts of LA, but Gameology - a great store in Claremont, is having a big one year anniversary event this Saturday with giveaways and a variety of events (including Z-Man demos that I'll be conducting).

Either Game Empire or Gameology are great stores to visit. You can find more info at:

www.gameempirepasadena.com or www.gameologyshop.com

Definitely "outskirts"... Over 30 miles from downtown!

Where are you going to be staying, Kevin???

There are several other game stores in the L.A. area that are worth a visit, but as Sheylon and I have said, Gameology and Game Empire are two of the best for in-store gaming.

I'm staying in Downey (I710 & Firestone area). The Game Empire store sounds pretty good from everything I've seen on the web. I've bought some War at Sea packs, but haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. So the War at Sea event sounds interesting.

It doesn't look like the drive to Pasedena from Downey should be too bad, especially on a Saturday. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks to everyone for the input so far, it's much appreciated.
