I will be in London, Ontario tomorrow on business. Can someone suggest a good gaming store to visit while I'm in town? If so can you supply me with rudimentary directions from the 401?
Thanks in advance.

I want to know, too. My company just acquired a business there and I may travel there, too. When I go, I'm hoping to go to visit Mr. Crokinole in nearby Stratford (if he takes podcasting visitors in...)

The top two in this list are specialty game stores in the downtown area, which you can reach via Wellington Rd (exit from the 401 on Wellington Rd and go north). The third has much wider selection of traditional games but not as many of the "gamers" type games, it's in the north-west of the city on Fanshawe Park Rd, just west of Wonderland Rd (exit from the 402 on Wonderland Rd and go north). I hope this helps, and have fun visiting London!

If you're going as far as Stratford, you might as well swing by and visit Kitchener-Waterloo as well. J&J's Cards and Collectibles is a fine game shop in Waterloo and the guy who runs germangames.com lives in Kitchener (you can arrange pick-up at his home to avoid shipping costs). If you're hoping your American dollar will stretch a little further and can get you a good deal at either place, check out the germangames.com site and know that J&J's prices are almost the same (sometimes a dollar or two cheaper, sometimes a dollar or two more). As far as I'm concerned, I live in one of the best places in Canada to buy games!
BTW, K-W is about an hour from London and Stratford is roughly half-way between them.

Thanks a lot for the info folks.
You know as I sit here thinking to myself, I wonder if there is any need for another website other than BGG on the web? BGG'ers provide friendly advice (and directions), there are games galore to peruse and it provides a place to catalogue my collection.
Perhaps e-bay and BSW can stay as well....I'm afraid the rest are just noise.

That's been my experience too. J & J now have a complete price list on their web page: http://www.jjcards.com/

I was in J&J last week and they are planning to update their website. The store is well worth a visit for the selection.
In London you can't beat LA Mood for the service.

My experience tells me that the best selection for games in London. Whether it's for board games, RPGs, CCGs or miniature gaming (historical or scifi/fantasy) is Imperial Hobbies.
Not only do they have the best selection bar none. They have a large gaming area in the back of the store with regular games going on every week.
