Love that the Temp, Phobos, Ganymede and the standard Projects are "flipped" from side to side, brilliant. Kind of wish they had done the same with the new Milestones and Awards, just to carry it through.

All in all, these look great, looking forward to seeing these on the table!

I wonder how f*(@#$@ underproduced these will be too.

I mean this is actually a really good game.. I don't get the idea of creating a demand through such small print runs.

You can read comments straight from the horse's mouth so you can stop accusing them of artificially ramping up demand:

A person can type up whatever they want.
Not actually knowing what X was also brings into question the behind the decisions.

Plus I have yet to see a justification of the crap components in relation to the price point.

Here are the breakdowns of the Milestones and Awards for the two boards. Chime in if you disagree with my interpretation of the symbols. Anything with "???" is just me taking my best guess at it.

Elysium:
Milestones:
Generalist - Have at least 1 production for each of the six resources.
Specialist - Have at least 10 production in one of the six resources.
Ecologist - Have a plant, microbe, and animal tag in play.
Tycoon - Have played 15 Plant and or Water tiles???
Legend - Have played at least 5 Events.

Awards:
Celebrity - Have the most money.
Industrialist - Have the most steel and energy combined.
Desert Settler - Have the most tiles not adjacent to Water tiles???
Estate Dealer - Have the most tiles adjacent to water tiles.
Benefactor - Have the most TR (I am guessing this will probably be before other end of game points are awarded).

Hellas:
Milestones:
Diversifier??? - ???
Tactician - ???
Polar Explorer - Have at least 3 tiles on the poles of the planet.
Energizer - Have at least 6 Energy production.
Rim Settler - Have at least 3 Ionian tags in play.

Awards:
Cultivator - Have the most Plant tiles in play
Magnate - Have played the most Green cards???
Space Baron - Have the most Space tags in play
Excentric - Played the most Blue cards???
Contractor - Have the most Steel.

I have been trying to work out what these mean as well. I agree with most of what you have, but I am wondering about a few of them:

Ecologist: Because of the 4 next to it I wonder if this is having a combination of 4 animal, plant, and/or microbe tags
Tycoon: I think this would be to have played 15 green or blue cards (basically, have 15 cards face up in front of you)
Contractor: I think this one would be to have the most building tags

Anyways, those are my guesses. I can't wait to get my hands on this new board!

I'm thinking the "+1" means you need to have one more production than you start in each resource, which makes it work in non corporate era games.
Specialist - Have at least 10 production in one of the six resources.
Ecologist - Have a plant, microbe, and animal tag in play.
as was already said, it's probably 4 total tags
Tycoon - Have played 15 Plant and or Water tiles???
probably not, sounds way too difficult and nothing tracks water tiles you played anyways. Don't know what it is than, having 15 blue/green cards sounds possible and is somewhat of a counterpart to "Legend" but I think it might be a bit difficult too
Legend - Have played at least 5 Events.

Awards:
Celebrity - Have the most money.
Industrialist - Have the most steel and energy combined.
Desert Settler - Have the most tiles not adjacent to Water tiles???
The graphic seem to show the map and higlight the lower half. I guess you need to have the most tiles there. That lower half has no areas reserved for water so it is the "desert". It's also similar to "polar explorer" in Hellas.
Estate Dealer - Have the most tiles adjacent to water tiles.
Benefactor - Have the most TR (I am guessing this will probably be before other end of game points are awarded).

Hellas:
Milestones:
Diversifier??? - ???
Most different tags, I think. Round usually means tags.
Tactician - ???
Looks like the "requirements" symbol that's near the cost on cards, so play 5 cards with requirements?? Sounds fitting to the name tactician.
Polar Explorer - Have at least 3 tiles on the poles of the planet.
Hellas only shows the south pole of course. Like with desert settler it seems like the area that counts is marked on the graphic, here it is the lowest two rows representing the polar area.

Most "non-standard" resources (animals, microbes etc.) I think. Matches the graphic (resource cubes on a blue card) and the name too.
Contractor - Have the most Steel.
Most building tags, definitely

The maps themselves are interesting, I didn't play the base game enough to really say how the different positions of stuff will affect the game. Elysium is divided into the watery north and the desert south, which plays nicely with the awards. As was already said olympus mons gives 3 cards, one of the best placement boni. I thought it might be harder to build there - thematic and might balance out the bonus - but it doesn't look like they mark the space as special in any way. Seems like the fact it's on a thin strip of land is what balances out the bonus.

In Hellas the plant boni are not in the middle and we get a new kind of placement boni - heat! But most "popping" is the huge bonus for building in the south pole. Here there probably is some limitation or cost for building there...

Ooh, baby! All those MC for filling that Hellas Planitia hexagon with ocean...

Also, how is Noctis City going to work with these boards? Would you just not place the city tile?

I think I read a comment from one of the brothers saying that if you played Noctis City on the new boards you'd just place a normal city on the board instead ... or something to that effect.

I hope they'll fix the spelling of "eccentric". Unless that's a made-up word on purpose. It's always embarrassing to find these things after printing.

Excentric is a word. It's a variant of Eccentric.

Does the expansion consist of the double-sided board only? Are there going to be any additional cards as well? As much as I'd be satisfied with the new boards only, some additional corporations would be a great addition as well.

As the designers said in a few places, this expansion is only the new maps. There are more expansions coming afterwards, however, and they will have cards and corporations. At least one expansion ("Terraforming Venus" apparently) was teased with a session report by the designers and a few pictures and stuff (see the "future expansions" thread in the game's forum).

Took me quite a while to realise the south pole bonus isn't 6mc and ocean but rather -6mc and ocean (hard to see the minus in the picture). That makes more sense...

I believe you are wrong about tycoon, if it was about plant resources they definitely would have used the plant symbol. I think 15 green/blue cards is a much better guess here.

You corrected me about diversifier, I wrote it above as if it was an award (most different tags).

Anyways - yeah there are 10 tag types excluding the event tag (which is probably excluded here). Diversifier does sound like a pretty difficult milestone, we'll see how it goes.

I like the idea of plants better, but Tycoon as green/blue cards makes more sense since it's a green rectangle instead of square(resources).

I believe Diversifier as 8 different tags is generally accomplished by all players, or nearly all, nearer the end of game. Whereas 3 Jovian tags, 3 polar tiles, {+1-all or 10-one or 6 energy} production, will often only be achieved by 1 or 2 players.

I found official Czech translation of Hella and Elysium from MINDOK company.
http://www.mindok.cz/userfiles/files/pravidla/TM_hellas%26el...

Most milestones and awards were quessed right.
Only other rules say: you can put Noctis city n. 17 anywhere and Lawa flows n. 140 anywhere on Hellas board (reffered places are included on Elysium board).

There is also translation of rules for Terraforming Venus. I can write more about them.
