And to answer an earlier question posed by Tami ... Jeff's want-generator/submission tool listed not only the sweeteners, but also their rating and other info from BGG. Absolutely outstanding.

I was planning to slog my way through picking some of the wants from over 40 game lots entered into this math trade on Tuesday night, and finish up on Wedneday. Turns out, BGG crashed late Tuesday night and was down 'til morning. If not for the ease of Jeff's program, I'm pretty sure I never would have met the deadline. I was able to enter pretty much everything fairly quickly on Wednesday night in plenty of time. Absolutely amazing considering that meant entering wants from among nearly 300 choices. And, while it went quickly, all the info presented and the final-check grid really made me feel the want list was just the way I wanted.

Jeff ... in addition to a big thank you for all the effort you put into organizing this, I definitely wanted to let you know how truly terrific the online want-generator tool was. You rock!

Jeff's online application gets a five-star rating

By the way, Tami ... Remember how you cornered the market on Oasis last year. Depending on whether anyone else had an interest in a Tanga special, I think I have a chance to equal your effort with Hoity Toity
Assuming my run is the winning result set you only receive 2 copies of Hoity Toity... and 2 copies of Aquaduct... not bad given in this trade set you have almost 30 trades!
Looks like Tami will remain the Queen of multiple copies. All hail!

Yeah, but I let others get the copies this time. I thought it was only fair.

Oh, in case anyone is wondering, I traded one of the copies I got last time for Rum & Pirates. The other went on a prize table (for Oasis of Fun- it seemed appropriate), and my first prize table pick at that event was Colosseum, so I think I did pretty well with those.

Argh... I have not heard from Brian I also fired off a direct email to his yahoo account.

I have to go so we're going to have to delay the posting of results until I hear from Brian or when I get back (2 or 3pm maybe)

Nononono.... start it without me. I munged my dataset at home, so I realized that I'd been going for all day and all night with bad data So rather than start another calculation already behind, I'd rather abide by what others have generated.

Very sincere apologies for holding everyone up like this. I'm a bit impatient too.

Results are... 145 trades found....
Looks like my 145 result set is the winning one...

The summary sorted alphabetically by bgg username with links into the BGG trading system for proposing the trades is at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/22435-results-summary.html

The raw data can be found at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/22435-results.txt

and the raw data but with lot names converted to game names (with the trade chain groupings preserved) can be found at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/22435-results-simple.txt

Note: none of thse list the sweeteners... use either the online too or the geeklist to see the sweeteners that go with each lot.

Terry is the big trader of all time with 28 trades! Only receiving 2 duplicate items I believe!

This was fun!

I think I need to pass my crown to Terry, though, as he received 2 copies each of Aquadukt, Siena, and Hoity Toity. I think 3 pair trumps my three of a kind, but maybe not, if we're thinking in terms of poker?

Maybe it'll get some of the rejected items traded...

How math trade deliveries have occurred at UG in the past
Someone asked and they may not be the only one new to UG or the UG math trade so here's the answer...

In past UG math trades, UG has been nice to allow us to use a couple of the banquet tables that line the walls of one of the rooms to use to put games on. Phil I believe (correct me if it's someone else) has been nice and divided up the space on those tables by bgg username...

... so what you do when you arrive is to put the games you are delivering into the appropriate pile for each person you are delivering games to. And pick up the games that are there for you (which you'll probably have to come back and check for later depending on folks arrival times).

Yep, it's me who makes the labels. meeple

Everything you've stated is correct. I may not have the "sweeteners" on the list, however, so the traders will have to account for these themselves. There will also be summary lists available at this table and at the registration desk.

Terry may have a table all to himself...

Just an FYI, Terry and I have made other arrangements for the games he's bringing for me. (So, don't flog him or anything when he doesn't bring my games in. Or flog him, if you are both into that sort of thing. Just don't tell me about it.)

Did everyone get their games?
Want to make sure everyone received the games they were supposed to get...

... there appeared to possibly be one small stack of games left on the math trade tables.

Also too late for this math trade, but there is a brand new math trade finder coming out (see http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/193083) that quickly (in seconds) finds the absolute max trades possible!

Chris O. was nice enough to run our want lists through his prototype and it turns out the max possible for this math trade was 149... so with 145 we were pretty close to the max.

Chris also checked for our last math trade (UG-12) and the max possible on that one was 83 (TradeGeneie had found 75 for our official results).

So for UG-14 we'll should not only have results in minutes after the deadline for want lists, but we'll know it's the most trades possible out of the data set.
