Scarlet Witch wrote: Finished watching Emerald City, had a lot of fun even at this second view, and the extra footage added for the br edition was really interesting: in an era where a ton is done via CGI, witnessing how you can create perfection with traditional methods is really fascinating (even when "traditional" is rather "bizarre": they took jet engines to create real wind to simulate tornados, with real actors having a hard time walking on the set). Anyway, really a great series, so witful and intense, it's a real pity NBC decided to cancel it after only one season. And then I've been watching The Handmaid's Tale. Three episodes into season 1 at the moment, and really loving it so far (even if "loving it" is difficult to say, it's probably the most painful thing I've ever seen in my life). It's just so incredibly realistic, a vivid fresco of a sadly not so impossible future. I really like The Handmaid's Tale. We studied the book in school and I think that the series has managed to capture the book nicely. I think I still have some episodes left to watch.

Mine comes out to $202.80, with 6 games that I wouldn't mind having but am not chomping at the bit to get. Add $16 if one ever gets back in stock.

It's an environment very similar to W&G: kind and very supportive people caring for each other and here you'll also find a few familiar faces posting also on W&G
So, feel at home, and welcome

Welcome! Everyone here is really nice. In fact, i found this place before W&G and i was almost afraid to venture over there! There are a few W&G regulars that stop by from time to time.

Oof. Caught up.
@Gretchen, Welcome back! I hope you’re feeling better by now.
@Lucas, regarding cleaning not being a game, maybe you just need Mary Poppins. (“In every job that must be done, There is an element of fun, You find the fun and snap! The job's a game”) In all seriousness, I hate cleaning too.
@Alicia, congrats on the Orleans expansion win
@Alysa, I hope that your pain has decreased by now
@Caysi, congrats on the G4GG win and the new meet up group
@Lucas, congrats on hitting your ExtraLife goal! Bummer that the event itself was a let down for you. But still super great that you met your goal!
@Alex Bokser, I think you should just jump and post whenever the spirit moves you, even if it’s related to personal stuff.
@Alicia, making time to stop and watch the ducks sounds lovely.
@Tina, welcome! Hope you found some great games for your kid
@Caysi, I’m glad you had a lovely staycation
@Brandon, I hope your anxiety has calmed down by now
@Will S, I like co-op the most and take that the least.
@Balaji, good job on introducing new people to the hobby!
@Alex Bokser, that’s wonderful that your in-laws will be able to visit you. And even bring you a fun new game!
@Petra, welcome! FTL is a wonderful place to hang out.

Hey Petra,
I should look a little familiar. You ended passing off RPG Geek of the Week to me!
Being that we are initiating you into our community, I now get to ask you some questions. So I will hit you with that ABSOLUTE HARDEST question ever. And it might be harder than you expect... only because of where you are from.
Tacos or Burritos?
@Rose: Thank you thank you! And yeah... having the 2 year old destroy everything all the time makes it even tougher.

For those that play gloomhaven, how would you say is best to solo?
1 character with solo scenarios? Or main campaign with 1, 2, 3 or 4 heroes?
How many is too little to play and how many is too many to handle?
Thanks

In Dice Towers top 100, Gloomhaven is Tom Vasel's number 1 currently.
And he prefers playing it solo!!

I love the board gaming community! Last night i took Clockwork Wars to the local board game meet up (it was my first time going so i wanted to show them that i do know how to play a good game). I managed to get a four player game in. It was tons of fun and there were a lot of battles that didn't pan out like we had hoped! When i packed up to leave, i managed to drop a small token. Today i got a message from one of the guys that i had dropped it and he was going to keep it safe until next week and bring it to the next meet up. If he hadn't said anything, i would have never known as this was a very small token in the game.

That is acctually a very hard question, I don't think I've ever had a burrito. What's the difference between it and a taco?

Something similar happened to me when we were in Poland a weekend to celebrate my birthday. We sat in the hotel bar after lunch and played Arkham Horror the Card Game for an hour or two, before heading out into town. Later when we got back in the evening, and sat down in the bar again to have a drink and play another game, the bartender came over and handed us one clue token that we'd apparently dropped earlier that day. So nice of him! None of us remembered dropping it and would never have known it was missing.
