on the http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/

try the automated way to transfer your items from previous trades into the current one:

After clicking on the icon, select a previous trade from the dropdown list and press submit. Then you can easily transfer the entries of your choice into the current trade by pressing the corresponding buttons. This will save you a lot of time.

or, you can use this link:

I have early (pre Warhammer) White Dwarf Magazines, as follows:

11, 16-22, 34-35, 37, 39-43, 45-46, 49-51, 53-58, 60, 62-63, 65, 67-68.

You can check the content here:

https://rpggeek.com/rpgperiodical/1267/white-dwarf

This is obviously too big for a single listing, so if you are interested in them, let me know which ones, and I'll sort out appropriate listings and check conditions.

Hello!
Newbie questions ahead!
- What are GMT games? What would be an example of such a game?
- What is this "mirror shipping" we should avoid?
Thank you for your help.

You can find a discussion of Mirror Shipping in a discussion thread for a previous Math Trade

https://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/25418240#25418240

GMT Games are a game manufacturer

Mirror shipping is a coniditional shipping term.
any conditional shipping terms should be avoided!
e.g. you should state clearly what the shipping costs will be. Avoid statements of the type "if A then B". Just state free shipping or a fee.

Right, and "being clear" also means no "I will cover the first X euros" ... NO! I still have no idea what I will be paying! Fortunately this is (mostly) a problem with Americans, so not something we see too much of here.

So... You guys pretty much either offer free shipping, or tell the max shipping within Europe?

The best option is to offer free shipping. If that doesn't work, add a note stating "You will have to pay X € for shipping via [method of payment]." possibly have several clauses for different areas (e.g. "Free within the EU, X € to non-EU Europe (link to a definition), Y € to the rest of the world.")

Yup! Just state an amount you'd be happy with, even if it might be a little higher than needed for some countries. Nobody is coming after you if you then decide to tell them a lower amount. Just don't do it the other way around ^_^

You might notice entries like this in the Geeklist

%Options%
Version: English third edition (2014), Language: English, Publisher: Tasty Minstrel Games
VersionID: 240604
%End%

If you set the version in your collection, the OLWLG picks this up automatically and makes this entry in the Geeklist. Although it's not immediately obvious that this is helpful, there are two ways to find out more about the version on offer.

1) Wait until the OLWLG is synchronized and the version will show explicitly with a link to the version page in the OLWLG item listing.

2) Append the 'VersionID' number to this url https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgameversion e.g https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgameversion/240604.

In this way - for example - the languages and language dependencies can be accurately determined by people interested in the item. It is worthwhile just for this reason to take the time to update versions in your collection.

I believe it also selects the correct cover image when using versions, which is yet another thing you then don't have to do manually. Really saves a lot of time!

Wow! I did not know that; that's excellent news ...

Edit: It absolutely does - https://boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch.php?action=search&objec... is an (excellent) example.

We are in step 2.

PLEASE DOUBLECHECK YOUR WANTLISTS BEFORE SUBMITTING. THERE WILL BE NO RERUN to correct mistakes. Getting a trade you do not want can only be a result of an own mistake in a wantlist.

use these 2 methods to doublecheck your wantlists:
a) in step 4, look for highlighted boxes and review them. The algorithm highlights the boxes that thinks you might have checked by mistake.

b) in step 4, click the Summary and review it. It will tell you what you asked for each one of your games. REVIEW IT CAREFULLY PLEASE.

after all of this, do not forget to click the submit link in step 4. A button will appear ("submit my wants"), click this also, and then check that you received a confirmation geekmail. Only then you have concluded the process.

Best of luck!

Looks like a lot of disappointed traders this month. Do others feel that?

Any thoughts on the reasons? I'm thinking:

1) People being too set in their wants.
2) Repetitive entries.
3) Too much cash. Yes I know this often smooths additional trading, but the cash entries just seemed more intrusive this time around.
4) Postage costs continuing to scare off the bigger game entries (and thus accentuating number 3 above).

All these are integral concerns in all Math Trades, so I'm not saying anything new. However, I hope by mentioning the obvious, some traders might take some of these points on-board next time around. Plus I'm sulking with zero trades myself this month!

One quick question. This is my first math trade, so...

I just got a trade proposal in my geekmail, as was in a result of MT.

So, do I need to send a trade proposal depending on what I got in math trade or does the system does that automatically?
If I need to do that manually, can you please inform me on how to do it?
