I will be in Seattle, WA for a couple of days this week and I was wondering where some good game stores were. I may even spend an evening gaming if they have open gaming (I will be there from Tuesday night to Friday afternoon).

I am staying at the Roosevelt Hotel so if there is something close, that would be awesome. Thanks!

I was going to say the same thing. Mox in Bellevue. They have good food as well. You can even check out games while you have a bite to eat.

Mox is a great choice. Its "parent" store is Card Kingdom in Ballard (North Seattle), which has a lot to offer.

If you're in the West Seattle area, do check out Meeples Games and even the Delridge Uptown Espresso and Gameporium!

Enjoy!

Have to add to the previously mentioned stores:

Card Kingdom
Gamma Ray Games
Around the Table Game Pub

All of these (and the ones previously mentioned) are fantastic game stores. My favorite being Around the Table Games in Lynnwood because they have a great selection of used games.

Also pretty easy to do the MoPop Museum and head over to Café Mox/Card Kingdom afterwards for food and games. Not super near each other, but a great way to spend an afternoon for a geek.

Didn't see this in time. I'm sorry. But Uncle's Games has a store just outside Seattle, and I can't say enough great things about the Spokane locations. They often transfer items from the Seattle area to the stores here for me & it is FAST (speaks volumes about their procedures and both stores being on top of their business.)

Last night I called and they knew my voice. No big deal except that I'd never spoken to this clerk. They must have my number programmed into caller ID or something as my voice is forgettable. They truly cherish their best customers and treat even a one time purchaser with exceptional care and consideration. I'm a fan.

Hope it's ok to tag onto this thread - we are coming over from New Zealand and will be with relatives in Seattle for Thanksgiving. Do local board game stores do black friday, or am I better just doing a miniature market order of some games for us?

Game stores do have the Black Friday sales. Ads should start trickling the coming week or so.
